I think the term "slow" was invented for this. No matter, I'll read it slowly.

Why am I doing this to myself? Because I can. Bring it, Drizzzzzt. I need to start reading better stuff, really.

I thought I would race through this but actually it's come at a bit of a reading slump, which is unfortunate since you don't get a new Weis & Hickman Dragonlance book every day. I kinda like it, I think ... though it's not what I was expecting.

This is quite a bad book but there's something a little bit compelling about its haphazardness.

Damn this is so much fun. Not been this hooked in a while...

I need to pause and remember that Tad Williams isn't a page turner. Sometimes I get bogged down in a book even if I'm enjoying it - and this is indeed wonderful - and it's right to take a breather, especially when they are so long.

Come at me Tad. I'm doing this.

Well Jack Pumpkinhead and Scarecrow needing an interpreter was absolutely hilarious and everyone should read this book for that chapter.

"The Good Witch who ruled that part of the Land of Oz had forbidden any other Witch to exist in her domnions?"

What? You'd think a good witch would be a little bit less tyrannical about witching and witchery in general. Not that she had too many qualms in the last book about bumping off so-called "wicked witches" I guess. All seems a bit suspect to me, though.

How disappointing is this?

This is far too wordy, but the overall effect is compelling. Very enjoyable fantasy yarn so far.
