Zdarsky is good at pacing comics

Accidentally read ahead. This is pretty good though and an easy read.

This is super fun. Not sure I'm 100% sold on the artwork even though it kinda fits.

I need to get up to speed with who these characters are a little better since they clearly spin out from an earlier title. Other than wooo nice art!

How is there so much left?

Definitely feels like an event comic. I was expecting something with a little nuance, I guess ... it's pretty entertaining, mind, but I'm a little concerned by the length of it.

I do love that Bane just gets p***y and starts smacking down Killer Croc when he's just supposed to be chilling and hanging back.

Not much Bane. C'mon Bane, where are you?

Well, this is surprisingly compelling A whimsical Game of Thrones dark fantasy with superheroes is better than it sounds. My current plans to deliberately read slowly may be out the window with this one.

Main events are so much cooler when there's a quality buildup to them and so far this feels perfect.

This feels quite familiar but interesting. Keen to see where this goes.

Every single Witch World book feels like the basis for modern fantasy writing, period.
