Why is it so hard just to give up a book that you're not enjoying sometimes?

Seriously, Kvothe, you're just getting on my tits now. I'm feeling quite sorry for Chronicler at this point.

Welcome to random university. Tuition Fees - depends on you random answers to random questions. Do what the teacher tells you - get expelled, publically whipped, or both. Don't know the Library rules because no-one told you - Instant bannination!

Harry Potter had it good since at least they told him not to wander the corridors of Hogwarts at night.

These are $0.99 each on Dark Horse today so it seemed rude not to buy them.

I know that you've been eagerly awaiting episode 2 of "The Adventures of Bisexual Girl". Today Bisexual Girl embraces religion.

Tried to publish this on the writing blog but was a total failure, so I put a view-able image on my own blog for people's joy and pleasure and good things. A first attempt at using a comic strip creator for what will hopefully become an onrunning series when I have free time to burn

My list of comic books to read grows and grows and grows. I'm drowning in a sea of comics I haven't read. I hate these comics, they make my life a misery.

Being the next big literary sensation is tough work. The research is distracting me. Writing novels about Vampirism, lesbianism and errr Aishwaryai Rai involves watching too many videos like this. What a chore!

I'm curious. How many Goodreads users are also aspiring writers? Are we mostly readers here, or do we also think of ourselves as the next big literary phenomenon. (NB just so you know, that's gonna be me...)

2 Issues in and so far this is the kind of comic that persuades people that comics are juvenile cack. I'm compelled to howl from the rooftops how appalling this is. i can only presume that the plethroa of 4 and 5 star reviews are from guys who think that comics are nostalgic like Battle Beasts. Or it improves exponentially on a comic per comic basis from heron out.

I'm going to justify posting this song because it's "Power Metal based on Tolkien". What could be more book-related and geeky than that. I love this record...

This is not doing it much for me second time through. Kvothe seems kind of a boring protagonist and Rothfuss writes kinda dull. It's Ok, but the pages aren't turning so fast.

I love it when someone comments on a 1 star review for a popular but divisive book or series - for instance, "Game of Thrones" - "thanks for the heads up, I know to steer clear of this one now."

Also known as "cherrypicking which reviews I agree with to justify the terrible preconceptions I have about a book I've never read" One wonders why they don't comment the same on the many 5 star reviews for the same book.

When a big corporation like Amazon buys a social interaction site like Amazon, everyone gets upset and panics.

When it comes to Presidential or Governmental elections, everyone votes for the party that publically support rule by corproate congolomerates. What gives?

Just to be clear about something. Amazon isn't a "family" it's a "corporaration". Families don't exist with the sole purpose of making money for their shareholders.

Not very happy about the Goodreads sale to Amazon ... but at least Amazon were always a business interested in social and technological innovation ... so we'll see. it's not really in their interests to turn this site upside down.

"When we look at the American Revolution ... it was a work of genius, and the Founding Fathers deserve the awed tribute they have received over the centuries. They created the most effective system of national control devised in modern times, and showed future generations of leaders the advantages of combining paternalism with command."

Five stars just for that sentence, right there.

Killed by four zombies. Was it a direct result of my failed attempt to cross the river in the raft, thus losing 1 skill point? Or were the Zombies always going to be too much for me. Should I have ran?

Questions, questions, questions. How do I tackle this killer dungeon second time through? More importantly, am I missing some crucial boxes that need opening?

Every room appears to have a box. It always gives you the option of not opening the box. Fuck you game, I wanna know what's in the box!!

"When it finally came to your day of leaving, the whole village turned out to wish you a safe journey. Tears came to the eyes of many of the women, young and old alike. You couldn't help wondering if they were tears of sorrow shed by eyes which would never see you alive again."

I am on the edge. Those poor women.
