Faced with the complete body of Shakespeare's work, I'm not sure what to read next. Any thoughts from anyone?

Seem to have hit a brick wall with genre fiction this year.

You get those weeks where you read nothing, then feel dirty at the end of them.

I love Goodreads because I can pencil up my thoughts on books I read as I read them - my thoughts are more important to my future me than a star-rating - but then I read something like Macbeth and the public nature of this site makes me cringe a little. "I have to review ... Macbeth?" And I panic, and freeze. "Ummm, yes, so, Macbeth is ... good? Is that news to you?" What does one say about Shakespeare, exactly?

Book One was weighty but the second book much easier going and this is becoming enjoyable now.

If the Doctor were into ordering things, he'd probably order this. I'm not sure one can get books on the NHS these days, though.

The wow factor isn't there. My passion for this book is somewhat lacking. I'm crawling over the finish line.

It's fine bit feels more "been there, done that" than "wow, this is new and exciting." I'm just getting old, I think.

Been trying to read this all day but one way or another I keep getting distracted by Sarah Chang. This won't do. Could I care less about the book or is it just an infatuation elsewhere...?

Not quite the the shot in the arm it's made out to me, but this works well as a Dickensian inspired grotesque fantasy, and from what I recall it gets thematically interesting later on. Enjoyable stuff.
