Took a minute to warm up to the book, but i’m really enjoying seeing through the eyes of the character and to see him understand the world around him. it’s an un-dulling of the senses that i feel grounds him and takes him out of day to day life

i’m really enjoying hook’s writings so far but i feel they’re so dense and full of good ideas that i need to immediately re-read or listen to an audiobook of these

Absolutely ramped up and turned the dial to 10 out of nowhere

Interesting so far and i like these kind of books that take place over a lifetime but also like… where’s it going lol

getting close! this book has been very enlightening. it’s refreshing to see a love and care for men in the context of feminist thinking, and it’s good in a sense that it doesn’t let men off the hook for their behaviors or the behaviors of their peers while still pulling back the curtains on the systems that keep those dynamics in place. excited to read her other work

moving back to reading involving more critical thought/theory after reading some dialogue-heavy fantasy is rewarding but man is it much slower lol

already got the next books on the list at the library, this is getting good
