Was hoping this book would be a bit more all over the place with its strange text interjections, but so far they just feel like some spice between chapters. oh well

took too long of a break reading this and now i’m not sure if i want to finish it 😭 we’ll see. I think a lot of chapters focusing on Howard are boring but KiKi’s chapters remain interesting

really interesting analysis of the media environment and theory of the time especially in conservative and right-wing spheres

Every character is amazingly introspective. Chapter 12 “Great Rock and Roll Pauses” is one of the most creative methods of storytelling i’ve seen, and combined with the aforementioned introspectiveness, left a hole in my heart and a tear in my eye

last few books i’ve read have done a fun thing where they ramble on a lot while slowly progressing the plot and it was annoying to experience this at first but now it’s kind of fun

Liking this so far. Big fan of the point of view that comes from the dad being a hippie 20 years after that was relevant

trying out audiobooks but they didn’t have any discworld that I had read before. Enjoying this one a lot!
