One of the most entertaining books i’ve read in a minute

need to get back in the habit of reading but this book has been very interesting so far. the constantly changing perspective throughout the generations of family members is keeping me hooked more than i thought it would

I’ve been updating here after each short story. the most recent was in the DFW reader that I have and it really struck me on the first read like it did just now. DFW has such a way of communicating the pain that everyone in this family experiences, all without any dialogue and within the span of 3 pages. One of his better and more impactful short stories IMO.

Love DFW’s writing but it is very dense which is not great when you go a few days without reading the book LOL
