McCarthy’s lack of punctuation (specifically quotation marks) does lend an interesting feeling to how the stories are read and experienced, but they do also make it difficult for me, who is about to fall asleep over my lunch break as i read it. it’s not particularly dense yet but he has his own way of writing that makes me need to reread paragraphs to fully get what he was putting down.
