Interesting to read a biography and begin to thoroughly dislike the man being portrayed.

I am slowly making my way through this novel and realizing how all wars seem to have messy beginnings.

Thanks for the new positive reviews for The Deliverance Trilogy! Georgios I is still in production but will hopefully be out in early fall - God willing.

A powerful story that makes me think about the subtle forces which drive us - and not always to good ends.

Reading this history makes me realize how much our past effects our future...

Interesting to learn about how the various world leaders of the time interacted with each other. Some with honor - some not so much.

Reading about Winston Churchill's background - knowing what happens to him later and the weight of responsibility he must bear - really makes me think that God prepares people for their specific missions through very creative means.

Reading history - especially biographies like this help - to put current events in proper context.

OK so this Russian czar is going on a mission to learn about the western world incognito? At nearly seven feet? I sympathize with his desire to be allowed to learn without all the ceremony - but this is the same guy who exiles people for merely talking badly about him. What a strange race of beings we humans are.

The Great Embassy to Western Europe - what a great idea! On this one I think Peter had the right idea! But being 6 ft 7 in I doubt he remained incognito for long.

Interesting story - I really enjoy reading about the childhood/young adulthood of people who made a difference in the world.
