I read Gregor the Overlander and was not terribly impressed but my son assures me that Susan Collins gets better as you go on. I am curious, so I am going on. Not loving the rats though.

I must admit, I am impressed with Mr. Kings ideas on writing. He has and open and honest approach and you're not left wondering what he really thinks. I am learning to ignore his choice words though they are still a barrier I wish he hadn't put up.

There is some great advice here - just wish Mr. King didn't use so many vulgar words. For a man who loves language - he doesn't seem to have a lot of respect for those of us who don't appreciate foul words.

This seems more like an autobiography - still it is interesting.

I just joined IAN: Independent Author's Network. Looks like an exciting adventure.

I have finished this book and I am glad I read it. Though I know a lot of early American history it was good to review and think about the challenges our first countrymen and women had to face and overcome to make this country what it is. It makes you proud to be an American.

After reading about the burning of heretics I find myself wondering how the human race has survived. It is incomprehensible to think that anyone seriously believed that burning a person at the stake would make anything better.

This is a very powerful book that really challenges the reader to consider life from a new perspective and how perseverance and faith really pay off.

Thomas has just taken his position as Lord Chancellor and neither he nor Henry seem to see what's coming. They seem to think that their friendship will make the other change.

It is amazing to think of the dedication and sheer self sacrificing love that it took to found this country.

It is a book to make you resolve to better yourself!

This has been a quick read - hard to put down. I can really relate to her experiences as a missionary.

The life of a writer is much like the life of an artist - you need to notice the fine details! Funny how you have to really examine a leaf to draw a decent tree. Reading great works is a study of humanity through the ages.

I just finished reading Casting A Shadow Over Rome by Mary Klovers and I can't wait to dive into Linda Rawlins new book Sacred Gold. Reading a good book is a great way to end an exhausting day!

I am currently enjoying some new books - just written by fresh authors. What a pleasure to see what is coming up for our reading pleasure. There are some wonderful writers out there. Keep up the great work!

I am also continuing my 2 year saga of reading the Old Testament. I just finished the book of Tobias - that must one of my favorites. I love happy endings!

I finished the book and really enjoyed it. I love the way the author compares the two kinds of gold - money vs. a child's golden hair.

I am now reading The History of the Ancient World by Susan Wise Bauer. A fascinating book! I am also really enjoying Silas Marner by George Eliot.

The book starts out slow but half way through it really takes off and I am enjoying it a great deal.

I am currently reading Anna Karenina, The Old Testament, How The Irish Saved Civilization, and The Pale Horse by Agatha Christie
