the more we see of shigure’s schemes, the more i wonder why hatori tolerates him and seems to sympathize with him. i think it’s very intentional that we really haven’t gotten any shigure flashbacks yet but i cannot WAIT for when they finally happen cause i need to understand!!!!!! and what did haru mean by saying “it’s a test”???? does he also know about shigure’s plan???????

i love hatori dearly so it’s nice to see him starting to find happiness again, but i do think it’s a bit overshadowed by shigure’s scheming (and mayu being kinda underdeveloped so far). the way that he pushes people, even if it’s ultimately in the right direction, is SO underhanded and i cannot wait to find out how it all factors into his endgame

god i am SO curious about what shigure’s plan entails cause it seems like he REALLY wants akito and yuki to have a confrontation and for tohru to be involved as well….super fucked of him to manipulate a situation that will most definitely traumatize yuki but what is the endgame??????

i really don’t know what to expect in terms of the sheer level of angst that this story is willing to go to but i hope with everything in me that kyo gets a happy ending where he’s FREE, even if it’s not with tohru. and if kazuma dies i will be sobbing he is such a good father and he deserves to see kyo grow up into the great man he’s raising him to be

the whiplash is wild, last chapter i was tearing up and now this chapter i’m giggling kicking my feet screaming into the pages of my book at how adorable kyo and tohru are (and kazuma is right there with me)

with all the bleak family dynamics in this story it’s beautifully refreshing to see the hanajimas be SO supportive and loving!!!! they never judged her or feared her or contributed even the smallest bit to her self-imposed loneliness and guilt. they did absolutely everything they could to urge her to hold on and stay strong until tohru and arisa found her
