Next audiobook up. My first by TJR. I don't know how I'm going to feel about this, but I wanted to give her a shot. We shall see...

Okay. That didn't last long. The narration wasn't working for me. Not the narrator per se, but it sounded too muffled. I knew I'd miss half of what was being said and either have to relisten multiple times or just miss much of what was said. Can't win them all🤷‍♀️

Y'all, I've had this book forever, but I just can't bring myself to pick it up and read it. Giving the audio a shot. Either I'll finish it or decide to remove it from my TBR for good. Fingers crossed!

It took me a long time to get over the ending of Angry Planet and how the subsequent book was not about two of my favorites, together. I think I'm ready....

I have to say, I'm intrigued by this whole set up. Mean girls are appealing because we know there's always more.

As if these two could actually sever ties. Psh. Poor Hugh. He's got it bad. Audrey is still not confident enough in herself to know it, though. Plus, there's the whole married Duchess thing you know.

-ish. Honestly, bringing her along was a pretty dumb idea. I would have been pissed, too. Mayne not attack pissed, but I definitely would have had the "the nerve" thought in my head.

I'm fairly sure I know who the "bad guy" is and who he isn't.

-ish. I'm still not super into these characters. I was hoping this would be heavier on the "suspense," but it's definitely not a focal point yet if it ever will be.

I have no idea what % I'm on...the audiobook is only available as a trilogy, so I'm 5% into the 27 hours, lol. I'm not sure how I'm feeling about this yet. Neither MC is standing out. This whole situation feels too convenient. A tea shop in Sutter Lake? The owner has access to the perfect guest house? 🙄 It's so twee.

Not 100% sure where this is headed. It's not fast-paced or suspenseful. It just feels somewhat mundane. Hopefully, there's a payoff, but so far, it's not super exciting.

I hate the dismissiveness.

I don't know what to think at this point. It's been a little chaotic, and our MCs' thoughts can be disjointed. Plus, there's always the risk of an unreliable narrator with these books....🙄🤔

I need a major slump buster, something that will have me itching to pick up my kindle again. I've not physically read a book in months. Maybe like 2 or 3 this entire year? Help!!

Clare's character is so inconsistent. That's my biggest gripe about this series.
