Having a hard time taking this MC seriously as a medical student. Isn't med school just studying and working all the time?

This is a DNF do-over. Starting again from the top!

I'm beginning to think Nora Roberts is just not my thing. As with The Awakening, she likes to have her MFC try new things and be AMAZING at them right off the bat. In The Awakening is was writing and in this one it is cooking. It's okay to try something and fail the first time. Like seriously. Plus, I find it hard to invest in the stories. I don't connect with them emotionally.

This is definitely not a fast-paced story, Maybe that's just Nora Roberts' style?

Straying outside the norm for my audiobooks. Let's see how this goes!

Bad Dolls. A haunted doll or a metaphor for grief? Both? She let's us decide.

Goblin. This is about literally facing your demons. It's funny how all of these stories so far feature pending nuptials. It would have been neat if the bachelorette party from the previous story was the prequel to this one.

Bachelorette. Not gonna lie, I thought she was going to die to a crazy witch coven. Missed opportunities, lol.

Reply Hazy, Try Again. Kind of neurotic, but also understandable. Ends without a real conclusion, but I think she made the right choice regardless.

I think it's about time to listen to some macabre death non-fiction.

It's all coming to a head. I hate it (kind of) but also understand that it needs to happen. Cooper has to face his past.

My current audiobook. I didn't know Bronson Pinchot was a/the narrator! ❤

The author's way of describing every woman the MC comes in contact with is a little ick. This author is definitely a "man's man." I'm trying to hear past it.

I like the story, but at the same time, it feels almost too idealistic. The perfect mom, the perfect dad, the perfect siblings, the perfect grandparents. If only this were how it always is.

Oh no. We all know where this is going. Accidentally donating a private journal to a library 💀 🪦 It's like making a private post and accidentally sharing it with the world.

1950s, small-town, small-mind, backwoods "justice" is enough to piss you off.

So far, so good with keeping up with the characters.

Next up audiobook. I've been in the queue for months so I hope it's worth it lol. A reviewer said there are a ton of characters, so we'll see how this goes. I don't do well with listening to books if there is too much to keep track of 🤷‍♀️
