My next up audiobook and my first by Jodi Picoult. Let's see what it's all about.

This is definitely turning out to be a weird one. We're dealing with some backwoods fairies, right? Definitely of the Unseelie variety.

It reads (listens) as wry and conversational. It's feels a little different than others I've read from her. It's not a bad thing.

We'll see if this one works for me. It's not part of a series, so that's already a plus!

My next up audiobook. Why do I keep requesting books that are the 1st in a series? I'm so not good with continuing. This will be my 3rd book by this author, and apparently, everyone is the first in a series 😕🙄

I always try to figure out the twist. I have an interesting theory about this one. Well, at least part of it. About Patience's dad. Hmm. We'll see!

I'm having a hard time staying interested in this one. I know I wanted to try to branch out with my audiobook preferences, but so far, I've not had a ton of luck enjoying fantasy via audio. Maybe I should just stick to my thrillers, mysteries, horror, and non-fic.

It's definitely a better choice than Mile High so far, but it's still hard to be onboard with an 18 y/o and 34 y/o. Which is kind of crazy, because I was that girl at one point (not married, but as a YA, I dated a few guys who were much older). It's weird how time and perspective change everything.

3% in, and I'm already ready to DNF. I mean "She might need a reminder that she's working for me, but I'll make sure she understands. I'm petty that way" after going through the "I'm not really an asshole, it's just for the media" spiel. Suuuure.

And to think I was hesitant to start this one because Aavar is always so cheeky. Still not 100% sold on Bree, but Aavar is another matter entirely.

I swear, I'm going to read this book this weekend! I love Etta Pierce's world and am ready to continue. Just life, ya know??

So, I was attempting to audiobook this one buuuut....I don't know how I feel about our MC, a teen girl, being voiced by a man. This is HER book. I may have to skip it for now.

So far this one is really good. I like the narrator's voice (both on and off page).

My next-up auido. I've been trying to listen to some slightly different books. I think it'll be a good one 🤞

My current audiobook. My sister has only recommended this book to me for 20 years, so technically it's probably the oldest on my TBR lol. See? I said I'd read (listen to) it!!

Absolutely no surprises here. Was this supposed to be some big reveal? I'm sad to say that this book has been a let down 😥

Still not a fan of Rachel. I was hoping my opinion would have changed by now, but nope.

I'm sorry, but I really don't care about following the lives of influencers AKA content creators. I've never been big on social media platforms, so this behind the scenes is just not interesting to me. Is it because I'm 41??

Well, so far I'm not Rachel's biggest fan. That's a bummer. It's like she counters things with "Joe" just for the sake of being contrary.

Who cares who she really is, right? 🙄

What a weird stance coming from a true crime podcaster.

This is my 4th book by Megan Goldin. I've enjoyed her others so 🤞!

Just finished The Lifecycle of Software. It ended up reminding me of the island of misfit toys. Not that they were misfits or toys, but it was more how quickly some of them could be laid aside in favor of the next generation. These are thinking, feeling, digitally living beings that can't continue to exist without software support. It's all very bittersweet.
