I'm not sure I like this MC. 100% don't believe she'd argue about having backup. Seems like normal protocol, but she still wants to fight back about it. Why is it that these little things hang me up sometimes?? Some books, I'm completely okay with dumb decisions, but others... I expect more sometimes, I guess.

Man, she really tries to hammer in that Amanda is "fake" so that Corabelle can be real. Her appearance is constantly mentioned. Bleached hair, impractical clothes, microbladed brows, false lashes. I get it. Cora isn't like other girls. She's SO different from her sister. She quotes Shakespeare and doesn't worry about appearances. Sheesh.

Is there was ever a book where the cover does not depict the characters, this is it. Our MFC has green skin and turquoise hair in one form and brown skin with black hair in her other. Our MMC has green skin with black hair and "shattermarks". Hmm.....lol.
