Listening to Book 3. Beth is already not one of my favorite people It's the "I'm the big sister and I know best" mentality. Like Clare and Dorran haven't already come this far.

Definitely not what I was expecting 😆

I'm intrigued by the premise, but it may be trying a little too hard to be something .

Not me tearing up at the ending of Part 2. I'm working! I can't be crying.

I can already tell this is one I'm going to like. A young girl growing up with mountain snake handlers and moonshiners. It's definitely something I'm in the mood for.

Still thinking my patience is wearing thin lol. She's like the MOST oblivious person. Like whatever is right in front of her HAS to be what it is, right? She has been 100% absolutely sure soooo many times. Gah.

I'm not sure I have the patience for this, lol.

So far, I think I may like this one better than the first. I'm happy I decided to try the sequel...

The house deal is bugging me. If it's in her name, why does no one associated with the house recognize her? Like, how could the realtor not know her?

So it's going to be THAT type of story.

Other people's horrible relatives ARE soothing. Huh. I've never thought of it that way before, lol.

Double standards much? You won't even give the guy your phone number, but now you're pissed he didn't reveal he had a daughter after you basically booty called him with no intention of ever hooking up again? Yeah.

It's a cool concept, but really, what are the odds that ground zero was so close to them? And that the one person they've found left alive has first hand knowledge of The Silence? There's a lot of convenience factors used to make the book work. Neat, but conveniet.

I think I must have missed something. How is this dude just picking up car motors? He's gonna do like a 5-minute quick change here. I mean, I can buy these chemically altered crazy human creatures, but this?? 😂

Oddly enough, I'm doing something I rarely do: listening to book 2 in a series. Let's see how this goes!
