There's another book I've read where the MMC had a symbiotic suit that behaved very, very similarly towards the MFC. It's gonna drive me nuts until I remember it.

I keep coming up with alternate scenarios in my head. Like, he's an undercover agent who suspects SHE'S the serial killer, and he has come up with this elaborate plan to get her to confess. Honestly, it's kind of exhausting 🤣

Her friend sounds too over the top. Is this all going to be in her head? Man, already I'm imagining mind games. This is what reading twisty thrillers does to you. You don't trust anything. Ever.

I for sure would not be telling my rideshare driver (i.e., a total stranger) that I suffer from hallucinations and will see/hear things that aren't really there when I get too emotional.

Well, I definitely wasn't expecting that. It was a punch straight to the face.

I don't know why I was expecting to be underwhelmed with this book. I've enjoyed KS in the past so why did I think I wouldn't be into this book? So far, it's good. Love me some imperfect characters with messy family drama.

I'm not 100% on board with this yet. But it's a book club book that I have to have read by 5pm tomorrow, so I'm perservering. It's not bad, just not my normal cuppa.
