Ugh this makes me mad! I get the intent but that doesn't mean I have to like it!

What I did notice is that it....kind of feels like Kuang is making a mockery of some criticisms of Babel....Unless it's a coincidence and I'm overthinking it. And I have to say I prefer the more technical prose than this conversational style, I don't think it suits her as well. At the very least, it's a relatively easy read.

idk if i’m vibing w the writing style and pacing tbh. and the protagonist is quite insufferable (good bc that’s the intent, bad bc i’m annoyed while reading)

The writing style is absolutely amazing. I'm trying to figure out what the intent is behind putting some dialogue in quotes and some without quotes. Is it a past/present type of thing?

Just finished Good Omens season 2 and wow I really am a child of divorce

I picked this one up since it’s been chilling at the library for over a week and I wanted to do the good thing by not judging a book by it’s author’s awful debut, and it started off fantastic but then they mentioned Lina and Aaron and I got the huge ick. Should I bother continuing?

Had to restart since I was trying to binge, it's so much more enjoyable though when I actually take my time and use the footnotes and such! Unfortunately, it's due at the library today, so I'll have to pause this one for now.
