God this is such a fun read, and I really enjoy the emphasis of the way humanity works as not being affected by heaven or hell, but just as a result of free will. Is that a kind of philosophy?

Absolutely love the conversations between the Them. It’s just such prepubescent logic LMFAO. I have to say, the fact that the apocalypse starts because the Antichrist became a conspiracy theorist and can make every theory true sure is! A decision! How do people come up with that? Also It made me think of WTNV.

This book has a phenomenal writing style that really keeps you on your toes, and the cast of Re: Dracula is an incredible talent that has made my commutes to and from school far less dreadful. But Christ, the way women are written in this book just Sucks. Mina, I love you darling but you are TOO not like other girls. And the men just go on these tangents about how women are so sensitive and I just. Ugh. Whatever.

Christ this book is so fun and clever!!! And once again I’m saying that the show is such a good adaptation that lines and lines of dialogue and some narration are word for word! I’m doing this thing where I read 100 pages, realize I desperately need those pages read by the cast, then pick up the audiobook. It’s a bit repetitive, but my, am I having the time of my life.

Listen I’m a hopeless romantic as well but this is TOO FAR

Dear lord I can’t imagine being soooo down bad that I think prom dress shopping is about romance and not, yaknow, getting psyched to wear a really pretty outfit in one of maybe three occasions (quinces, prom, wedding). This girl is a little too boy crazy and might turn me off from the rest of the book but we’ll see.

Really enjoyed the story about the cave in the mountains! That one’s gotta be my favourite so far. The Cassandra one made no sense to me.

Also I just got the audiobook from Libby (full cast with David Tennant and Michael Sheen) and I'M SO HYPE!!!! I've been saying the best way to "adapt" a book is with a full cast narration of the audiobook; you have the perfect cast and there's no deviation from the book itself because It Is the book. Put a little soundtrack and maybe some sound effects and it's almost a podcast adaptation! Just like Dracula! WAHOO!

I simply adore the writing style in this. Mr Young kinda sucks though?

I must say, the show is an INCREDIBLE adaptation seeing how the wording of the introduction is basically word for word. I LOVE THE VIBE it's so silly! And fun! And the Earth is a Libra just like me!

Lots of worldbuilding and character building, some really good lines but it doesn't feel like the book is going overboard with its prose imo. Kind of a slow read through

lord audiobooks are too long and there are too many characters

and why does the author only change her voice up for bunny and the teacher 😭 i am a strong advocate for full cast productions to avoid confusion

I see a beautiful landscape and I don't want to look away, I want to look for longer.....come on man
