This author was recommended to me by a fan of another author that I also like. So far not too bad. Starts with a good hook and an interestingly flawed protagonist. Be interested to see if this book continues as good as it has been so far, or if that was the author's best shot and the rest of the book is going to be horrible.

It is interesting to read the expanded scenes in this ebook version. Some of my favorite scenes are found within the early chapters of this story. When John fights the Kintark rescuing Rachel is one of my favorite scenes.

I read this author's short story in the previous anthology set in this universe. The short story impressed me enough that I thought I would grab some more of this author's writing.

I follow this author on Patreon as well as Facebook. It is a shame that Amazon would not let the author use the first edition of this cover as it showed a naked Alyssa which violated some draconian Amazon anti-nudity rule.

Very formulaic man's adventure series but still a fun read.

Despite the delay in reading this book (and starting yet another series from this prolific author), I am enjoying the story of the very first human and Treecat pairing. Of course the cover picture is wrong as it depicts an older Stephanie Harrington and Lionheart before the loss of his right truehand.

Again at the suggestion of my wife I am reading something outside my comfort zone. Although the book with the uber-jock kidnapped to become a gay sex slave was about as far outside my comfort zone I think that I can go.

Several Sci-Fi short story collections by various authors that I have read lately have been really good. I am sometimes dubious of short stories especially in Sci-Fi, as it takes a rare talent to write a short and good Sci-Fi story.

So I finally got a chance to start this book after having it shelved in my currently reading pile for quite some time.

OK enough Space Opera break. Another author that I read suggested this series. First book is very good so far. Disenfranchised youth from the welfare ghetto joins the service for a better life and finds out that service life is not all that the recruiters said. Interesting that the recruiters try to dissuade people from signing up rather than encouraging.

Not as horrible as I feared. Also not as man-hating and man-bashing as I also feared. Makes some very pointed and correct observations of how the female sex has suffered injustice due to their sex mostly by a male-led society.

Still reading outside of my usual genre comfort zone at the suggestion of my wife. My usual Space Opera slog was getting a bit stale so time to change up the reading a little.

For a guy so dominant and into kink, he likes a lot of good ol' vanilla sex. Maybe this story gets kinkier - we will see.

So my wife challenged me to read something out of my usual comfort zone. Uber buff dude getting kidnapped to become a gay sex slave is about as far outside my comfort zone as you can get.

I should finish this last book either by the end of today or by tomorrow morning. I hope that there are more books in the Morris and Chastain series by the author. The author's webpage is badly out of date.

So now that I am back to work and get a lunch break, I finally got to start this novel. I have read most of this author's other work and have enjoyed the stories so far. This one started a little slow I hope that the story picks up soon.
