OK so in the new relationship phase, no heading for the conflict part of the story arc, where she finds out he has her dead BF's cell phone and has listened to all of the messages she left while grieving. At least there were no nude pics of Sierra on the phone, that would have been a little creepy for this kind of romance though.

This one has a little different premise. Guy gets phone of dead BF. Meets GF who left messages on his phone. Why did no one wipe the phone? Seems little far-stretched to me, but ok. Are there naked pics on the phone? Now that would be a plot twist.

God, these darn romances are killing me! Why do I subject myself to such torture? Is it worth reading all these sappy romances to improve dialogue? Can I write this many damn reviews? Thank God these are quick reads.

I'm really struggling with this book. It is nice that it is set near where I live with familiar landmarks and areas. The military aspect of this book is completely unrealistic. Obviously written by someone that does not understand the strict 'no fraternization policy' of all branches of the military. No way does an Army captain openly date & get engaged to an Army sergeant. If they do, they keep it on the down low.

This romance is fairly decent. I like the fact that the guy is a former regular soldier injured in Afghanistan. He is not some so blacker-than-black, super secret squirrel ultra SF that you've never heard of super soldier. The woman seems a little unbelievable. Today for a woman to graduate from college, date a man for several years and never find the "magical moment" to give her BF her virginity seems unrealistic.

I have not read a Kurtz book in better than 20 years. I have always liked her books, but found them heavily religious and best in small quantities.

If I had known how much LitRPG material was in this book, I wouldn't have bought it. Other than having to skip a crap load of game material which yanks me out of the story, the writing is excellent with engaging characters. Book opens with action and has good pacing so far. Not sure that I will read more of this author's works as I really dislike the LitRPG elements; otherwise a great trashy pulp SciFi book.

Taking a break from SciFi Space Opera for a little while. I like this author's writing even if it feels like Catholic catechism a little.

I actually like the first book of this series better than the first book of the Dhamphire series. Of course, this book was written after the authors gained several years of writing experience. I suppose it is unfair comparing this book to the author's first book ever published.

This will be a short read. I am a little embarrassed that I actually enjoy the story in this novella despite it being a mushy romance. Maybe I have a soft spot for cowboys.

I receive these romance novels for reviews - it's no wonder that my Kindle thinks that I am gay. A writer struggling with dialogue should read several romances which rely on dialogue for the interaction between characters. A romance with poor dialogue fails.
