I can finally read this book, as I am past the events in this book in the Longknife series.

My wife excels at finding me interesting things to read at the local library. She is taking good care of me while I am practically homebound.

Taking another break from SciFi and Space Opera again. My wife saw this at our local library and thought that I might enjoy it. Rather interesting subject.

Taking a little break from SciFi for a bit.

Only 50 pages in the book and the megs are already eating people in the Straits of Juan de Fuca which is very near to me.

Time for a real break from the endless Space Opera. I have always loved sharks. Since childhood I have read everything I could about megalodon sharks.

Reading this book a little more while I take another break from the continuous Space Opera. I still really need to read this series in order as I have read them all out of order.

Starts off a few months later after the Avalon Expeditionary Force returned. Just have not gotten in the mood to read this particular Space Opera series right now. Taking a bit of a break from my usual genre helps keep my reading interesting rather than getting stuck in a rut.

I love these books. My wife encourages me to listen to the audio book because the voice actors are so good.

Good start to this main storyline novel. Back with the Terran Marines on Avalon and an old enemy reappears inside another successor state which may or may not be an enemy.

Interesting, I wonder if Ray and Rita will patch things, but there just may be too much time and things between them.

It will be interesting to see what Grandma Rita decides to do. Will she leave the Alwa colony (since it appears that she is superfluous to the command structure) with all of her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren or will she return to Ray and try to pull that man's head out of his ass? Rita buried two husbands on Alwa she might not want to return to Ray again after this long apart.

Ah what I figured someone had been reading castaway stories before writing this novel in the Kris series.

I now know why Kris felt it necessary to break into Grandpa Al's shop rather than just ask for an appointment as her older brother did.

Poor Kris has really stepped in it this time. In a situation such as Kris finds herself, you will learn who are your true friends, and who merely thinks that they are your friend.

I am waiting for Justice to go HAL 9000 on Nathan and crew.

This book starts very SLOWLY, almost tortuously slow. About the middle of the book it finally picks up pace. Some humorous moments and I like the blend of the crew sorta reminiscent of Firefly. The MC love interest is different, but not Galaxy Quest or Capt. Kirk different.

Picked this book up on the recommendation of Michael-Scott Earle as being similar to his Star Justice series. We will see as so far we are not even in space, but somewhere in the a-hole part of Alaska.

Good start to this book diving in to the action right away. I like how this book picks up only a few months after the previous. Dev is still struggling with the after effects of his near God-like experience with the Naga.
