Finally read the infamous sex scene between Beckett and Castle...excuse me, I mean between "Heat" and "Rook"! No wonder Beckett wanted to kill Castle...more so than usual!

Reading this book is making me realize something...when you take Nathan Fillion's charm and charisma out of the equation, Castle is kinda annoying! :/

I love the TV show "Castle", so I suspect reading this book by fictitious author Richard Castle will be a lot of fun! :D Although...it just won't be the same not being able to SEE Beckett giving Castle the deadeye!

I would have been very disappointed if Dresden didn't make any kind of "Wizard of Oz" reference while fighting the Scarecrow...I'm glad he didn't let me down! :D

WOW, in just one book Charity Carpenter has gone from one of my least-favorite Dresden characters to one of my favorite! Something about a woman in chain-mail armor just melts my heart ♥

Harry Dresden's battle with the Scarecrow is one of the most exciting magical duels I've ever read! I just wish now I could get the horrific image of an evil 10-foot tall scarecrow out of my head! :P

Murphy's ex-husband wears a Marvin the Martian tie?!? No wonder he seems a little off, what kind of a weirdo goes around wearing cartoon-character ties...oh, uh... never mind...

The fairies in the Dresden books are always so deceptive and untrustworthy...now I know why stories that aren't really true are often referred to as "fairy tales"!

Harry let fallen angel Lasciel make him believe the water in the shower was hot? That may not seem like a big deal, but if a powerful wizard like Harry is falling under the Temptress's spell, this could be the worst thing to happen in a shower since...well, y'know...

Someone is using black magic to bring horror-movie villains to life...there should be a warning on this book about the face-melting degrees of awesome within these pages! :D

If someone is posting pictures that you deem offensive, instead of flagging them, simply stop reading their posts, it's that simple! If you really want to make a difference, go volunteer in a soup kitchen or a hospital, but to spend several hours a day on some "moral crusade" trying to censor a book-review site is BEYOND PATHETIC!!! Quit wasting our time and your lives!

I normally try to keep my posts positive, but today I feel this needs to be said...to the people who are going around flagging other people's comments and pictures, your obsession with trying to "clean up" GoodReads is so severe, it truly borders on MENTAL ILLNESS!!! Not everyone is offended by the same things that offend you!

I'm in the mood for an urban-fantasy...one with a snarky lead character. However, since that describes at least 98% of all UF series, perhaps I should just be more specific and say I'm reading a Harry Dresden book ;)

There have been some frightening moments involving normally-cute animals in this book...the deer stalking Perry & Dex was particularly freaky! I'm staring to think Karina Halle could even come up with something scary to do with ponies!

DEX - "I was hoping you'd come out and get me."
PERRY - "Well, I'm always going to come and get you."
That was so sweet! I almost had a man-cry moment just then...

Hmmm...it sure is suspicious how Sarah is never around when weird stuff starts happening...if this were Scooby-Doo, I'd totally think the animal spirit was just Sarah in a mask...and that her motive involved wanting to buy land cheap!

Is this book going where I think it's going? Instead of encountering something as routine as werewolves, are Perry and Dex about to embark into a much more original adventure featuring were-coyotes ?!? :D

As much as I love Perry, I wish she'd stop pointing out how Dex is only 5'9". As a man who's barely 5'9" myself, every time Perry comments on how "short" Dex is, she makes me feel like I should be in a tree baking cookies! :(

Time to spend some more time with Perry Palomino, my favorite-ist ghost-hunter ever... with the possible exception of Dean & Sam Winchester...and Bill Murray, of course!

Talon Karrde is such a cool anti-hero, if he's in a future SW movie, Jason Statham MUST play him! Why did George Lucas waste his technology inserting Hayden Christensen into "Return of the Jedi" when he should be inserting Statham into ALL his movies...and every other movie ever made, too!

It wasn't bad enough he had to go break into another Imperial stronghold, he had to have Threepio yakking his metal head off, too! - In Han's defense, I've always found C3PO to be rather annoying myself! :P

Wow, this book is so good, I'm starting to think Timothy Zahn understands "Star Wars" even better than George Lucas does! Uh-oh...I may have pissed off a lot of "Star Wars" fans with that comment...
