I'm only on page 1, and I already think this book is infinitely better than the Ryan Reynolds "Green Lantern" movie! ;)

What happened?!? This book started out so funny, but now it's getting all serious, like the dreaded "very special episode" of your favorite sit-com! Not liking this change in direction :(

Now that my recent job search is at a successful end, I have a little extra time for reading today! Time to work on my GR challenge :)

In a computer presentation to sell insurance, Sam hides the subliminal message "BE SMART, BUY THIS". The client still doesn't want Sam's insurance policy, but now wants to buy the computer! Sam realizes he should change the subliminal message to "BE SMART, BUY THE POLICY"!

It's time for me to once again plunge into the bizarre and downright insane world of Christopher Moore...and I couldn't be happier about it! :D

Yup, that pretty much sums it up...

I have a theory as to how this is all going to end, but I really, really hope I'm wrong! Still, all the signs indicate that something that would be so tragic (but also kinda cool) is about to happen... :(

So much intrigue at the last ball! NAME WITHHELD was really an CLASSIFIED all along?!? And NAME WITHHELD arranged for the assassination of CLASSIFIED?!? I'm suffering from total awesomeness-overload right now!

Wish me luck...I have a big job interview today!!! Think I should leave the Scooby-Doo tie at home for once?!?

This book is so detailed in the economic and political aspects of Kelsier's master plan, it's like a playbook for overthrowing the government! Uhh...not that I'll ever test that theory... I don't think guys in Scooby-Doo ties last too long in prison!

Kelsier to Dockson - "If you're always on time, it implies that you never have anything better you should be doing." Know where Dockson is now? In his place, and Kelsier just put him there! ;)

Just when I thought I couldn't possibly love Vin any more, she comes out with this gems..."Honestly, for an evil god of darkness, he certainly can be dull! He's far more whiny than any god had a right to be!" Wow, even Mr. Potter never dared to refer to Voldemort as "whiny"!

*sigh* Nothing like starting your day off with a slap in the face over some imagined slight. Really wish if people had questions about me, they would simply ask them, instead of deciding for me what I'm supposedly doing :/

Nice to know that even in fantasy worlds filled with magic and wonder, men are still always quick to resort to potty humor! ;)

Kelsier is going through so much trouble to keep the rebellion a secret, impersonating both noblemen and beggars just to diffuse false rumors throughout the Empire. It would be so much easier for him to spread misinformation if only their world had the internet! ;)

Eowyn...I'm sorry, but I think I've found a new favorite fantasy heroine! It's just that Vin is a rich backstory and is even more feisty than you ever were! Sorry to break it off with you like this, Eowyn, I hope we can still be friends...

There's something so endearing about how Vin is more terrified to dance than she is to fight horrible monsters! If only I lived in this book's world, I could calm Vin's fears by teaching her all my dance moves, which kind of look like this...

So while I'm waiting for my Kindle to stop being mean to me and freezing up on me, I'm reading the next volume in Brian K Vaughan's "Saga" series! Considering how amazing the first volume was, suddenly a frozen Kindle doesn't seem like such a big deal anymore! ;)

Made it to 33% and then my Kindle kept freezing up on me. So after rebooting it, I'm staying off it for a day to see if that fixes the problem. It's gonna be a long wait because I really want to know what happens next in this amazing book :(

In this book, magic is actually powered by metal, and each type of metal enables its own magical ability. If only this book took place in OUR world, then magicians would have access to the most awesome form of metal there is...

I love how, instead of playing out like a typical quest in a fantasy novel, in this book the heroes are all con artists trying to pull off the ultimate scam against a corrupt empire! There's just something about a well-played con...

Her brother taught her many things, then reinforced them by doing what he always promised he would - by betraying her himself. "It's the only way you'll learn. Anyone will betray you, Vin. Anyone." - Betrayed by your own brother, that brings new meaning to the phrase...

I've only read the prologue, and I'm already impressed by Sanderson's world-building abilities! I think this is going to be a very exciting read! :D

I've heard so many wonderful things about the Mistborn trilogy! Below is a picture of me grinning like a madman, it must be because I'm so excited to be starting this book...well, either that, or maybe I just have a chemical imbalance! ;)
