Holy Sugar Honey Ice Tea! I wasn't sure where the subplot involving Nia was going, but I sure wasn't expecting that! I'm in total shock over here!

The first half of this book dragged in parts, but the second half has been incredibly gripping! Must...not...put...book...down...

The villain just declared war on the United Kingdom...the very same nation that gave the world heavy metal AND punk rock?!? Don't clash with The UK, dude, you'll lose every time!

At one point while maintaining her cover as a tourist, Tara Chace wears a bonnet...which means that Mal Reynolds is no longer the toughest person to ever wear one!

Tara is closing in on the man she's been sent to assassinate. However, since there are over 200 pages left in the book, I'm going to take a real risk here and predict that things will NOT be going according to plan! ;)

"Tara informed the guard that if he tried to touch her, he'd likely draw back his arm fractured in such a way that he'd now have three major joints on the appendage rather than the traditional two." - Wow, Tara's even more intimidating than angry Band Camp Girl!

Tara totally kicks butt, and I love her for it! What is it about women who prefer breaking faces to breaking hearts that I find so sexy?!? ♥

Hmmm...melodramatic speeches, flamboyant clothes & bizarre weapons, sending clues and taunting messages to the authorities, maybe El Fuego should terrorize Gotham City instead, he'd fit right in with those lunatics!

A-HA! I KNEW that person was much more involved in the terrorists' scheme than they appeared to be! You can't fool me that easily, Mr. Hiaasen, I'm harder to trick than this baby!

Whoa, the terrorist group known as "Los Noches de Diciembre" (admittedly, a much cooler name than "The First Weekend In July Movement") isn't playing around anymore, this book just went from funny to grim in a hurry! Or, to put it another way...

The villain in this book is so twisted...I'd say more, but with GoodReads censorship so out of control, I'm afraid they'll start deleting reviews for criticizing book characters too! And now, here's the only unflaggable picture I could find! ;)

"This is not murder, it's social Darwinism. Two endangered species, the crocodile and Mrs. Kimmelman here, locked in mortal combat. To the victor goes the turf. That's how it ought to be!" Wow, the killer is even crazier than this dog...

Loved when the terrorist group wanted to name itself after the day of a significant event, but couldn't remember if it happened on the sixth or seventh of July, so they named themselves the "First Weekend in July Movement" instead! That made me laugh as hard as this picture did...

Whoa... at first I thought that person was going to be the main character, but now it looks like he's going to be the next murder victim instead...did not see that one coming!!!

5. - It is very possible people are abusing the flagging system just to harass people. If a person flags a photo, you should investigate to see if the photo was truly offensive, and if not, the person who flagged it should be penalized instead!!!

Please look into this, GoodReads! Otherwise, you are simply enabling the harrassers and bullies!

3. - If a person flags a picture that is posted on someone else's profile, they have an agenda and are actively looking for things to flag.

4. - A picture of a shirtless man is not offensive...unless the man is Rush Limbaugh, now THAT I can see being a flaggable offense!

In light of the recent flagging, there are some things you should be aware of:

1. - If a picture was posted back in May and is just being flagged now, chances are it wasn't actually offensive to begin with.

2. - Much like #1, if a review has several likes and only one flag, chances are it wasn't really all that offensive!

My very first Carl Hiaasen book! :D

Getting better...the whole "TinkerBell of Death" sequence where Jenni was suspended over the zombies while shooting at them was very exciting. Since it's hard to find a picture of a gun-toting TinkerBell, here's a picture of something else that's equally awesome...STATHAM!!!

Okay, Jenni was getting on my nerves, but after she lured zombies to their doom by doing a little dance for them and then mocking their distress, I must admit that I'm starting to like her more...or at least dislike her less!!!

Look, I get that she's panicking, but Jenni's stupidity is really working my last nerve. Pretty sure any zombie looking to eat her brain would starve to death...or, as Zombie Soup Nazi would say...
