Pop along and have a read and please leave some feedback :-)
New post on my blog: 'On The Benefits of Having a Woman's - to see what it's all about visit: http://johndrhodesauthor.wordpress.com - :O)
And here is the News!Short Story Update! Thought I'd upload Pt 3 and 4 this time so there is a bigger chunk of Buster (the dog)and Edgar (the Wizard type chap)! Please have a read
http://johndrhodesauthor.wordpress.com
What peril are the pair in, will they escape and who are what is after them? What mystery and mayhem awaits, will I get my cd player to work so that I can play some suitably sinister music as I write the ending?
Have fun and I look forward to your responses!
Just relased it... Part II of 'On Finding His Feet' my short story - find more about Buster (the humanised dog), his flashy new friend and just what lurks in the shadows! http://johndrhodesauthor.wordpress.com/
Good morning, I think today I will release a little more of my story... out into the wild, to roam free...John :-)
Good morning people, or good afternoon, or good evening depenind on where and when or even if you read this! It's Sunday (at least here in England) and I have so much and so little to do!Please feel free to say hello, and if you've not already done so, please visit my blog, subscribe, add comments, give me links to yours etc...
And have a good a day! :-)
Good morning - again I'm not sure who reads these but I'll leave a little post here anyway. I am getting a little 'posting' fatigue so, not wanting to annoy anyone I will try to not mention my blog too much - I don't try to 'spam' (which as far as I'm aware is a posting of the same message to every available area no matter if that area is appropriate or not. I try my best to post to the appropriate genre groups (fantasy. humour or anything quirky) and I do like to get involved.
Please if anyone gets too much of me the please just send me a nice message and I'll try to tone myself down - I don't want to loose any more friends and I'd love you all to message me and chat!
Have a good day where ever you are.
John :-)
Good lord, I had no problem accepting your friend request and following you as I like to support authors on goodreads... until you posted so much about your blog and twitter that I couldn't find a damn thing from anyone else - in one freaking day. This is not the way to get people to read your work. First post? Sure I took a look at your blog, but when I came back and saw you spamming like that I decided not to read your blog again. Especially since several of your posts were within minutes of each other and about the same thing. Please don't contact me again.
Hi allCan I just remind you all of my Twitter account! I want to follow me/connect with me then please do so:

Morning all... actually... I'm just wondering... who sees this little slice of Johnny D's life? Ok friends if you read this can you post a reply, I have a sneeky feeling that I may just be talking to my self (which is not unusual and I can say almost anything when I do though I do get some funny looks).Well if you are reading people, have a good one!
John
And so the sky was full of yellow cream, and purple ships and all the people fell about and danced in all the chocolate rain.Nobody cried when all was lies and all the fish were dancing, figs wore wigs of finest care and boils were there for lancing!
Just a thought!

Hi allI have just updated my blog, a little musing on music and it's links to madness! I am convinced that my strange view of life is to some extent influenced by my love of music (and some fairly dodgy gigs both played and attended!). Anyway enjoy...

Gooooooood morning! I had 43 visits to my blog yesterday so thanks to those who called by! I'm looking at way of getting more people to call in so any ideas just get back to me! In the meantime my word for today is 'flumped' - some of you may remember the little creatures on television and even now that tune is bouncing around your noggin! I like to use it in moment of great stress, as in: 'Well that's me flumped!'Have a flumping good day and don't let the thought police get you!

I'm shuddering at the frightening thought that we are now closer to next Christmas than last Christmas.. ahhhhhh!
Good morning everybody (well it's morning here in misty Stoke - UK! The start of another 'proper' working week! Just one thought to hang on, why do bees have to die when protecting themselves? I'm not a fan of actual close up contact with the stripy beasties but just imagine if we humans had to do the same when defending ourselves! Anyway thanks to all of you who have visited my blog and I will be posting new meanderings this week!
http://johndrhodesauthor.wordpress.com
And don't forget my book - I've sold a wapping 2 so far! You can find it for sale here:

I'm back! Fresh from the narrow paths of Devon, loaded with new books from the charity shops (Peter Cook, Ustinov, Tom Holt, Ben Collins, Pratchett) and just about adjusting to technology again!Hello to all my new friends, I will catch up and say hello, thanks for the visits to my blog and I will be posting something new soon.
And lastly it's good to be back but I could do with a holiday to recover from that holiday!
'And as the blue car gently moved away from the curb, John lent out of the window, "Bye for now all, catch you next week!" This was not entirely audiable through the gale force wind, heavy rain and a tractor that just happened to be passing bye but at least the intention for a good farewell was there!'Ok I do think I'll see some sun this week, but while I'm not around please visit my blog (if you've not already) and get my book if you can!

Hi All... thought I'd post a bit of my e-book;Mr Memory
Here is where we meet the lovely Jayne:
They always insisted didn’t they, that the blame for the freak floods and hurricane like destruction could not be carried on their well dressed shoulders or manicured sun drenched smiles, no the guilt was and could only be old Mother Nature’s alone. So what if they’d said it was going to be perfect weather for gaining that extra layer of golden tan but then a reddish rust was actually the only skin discolouration you would get. Bastards! Always those cheesy white as white grins and mock sympathy (with a mere hint of a smirk as the corners of mouths twitched) when bad news was the order of the day too; ‘Oh dear, lots of rain and cold and pain, but never mind here is a lovely photo of the Dales with some lovely half dead sheep sent by Mrs Olive Cowsbottom of the East Belcham Sanitary to cheer you all up’. Oh yes very bloody cheerful!
They probably went home in expensive air-conditioned limos with a nice silver bucket packed with clear ice and a bottle of the best champagne. Piece of cake that job, a million miles better than Jayne’s job, though she had no doubt that the brain power needed was roughly, give or take, a brain cell or two about the same. In fact it was a certainty that a recently dug up zombie would handle both jobs with simplistic ease and would probably do a much better job of predicting the weather patterns.
Jayne sat at the window, perched on the ample sill in the simplicity of her sparsely but tastefully appointed flat. Sparse only because she hadn’t been here for long; six months which in the grand scheme of things, eternity for instance, wasn’t long at all. Tasteful was all in the eye of the beholder of course but she liked the warmth of burnt orange and cool presence of pale green and to Hell with anyone else. The television decorating ‘experts’ were another of her favourite pet hates; how dare they walk around like bit part Jane Austen actors and have the nerve to call a Mrs Suburban Middle Age lady’s liking for frilly red curtains outdated! The cheek!
Good morning world! Today I will be sailing across the seas of discovery, pushing the boundaries of the mind, exploring the mountains of ambition (you have all looked at my latest post haven't you, 'Ambition & Moles' on my blog: http://johndrhodesauthor.wordpress.com?), and fighting the waves as I sink under the filthy water of everyday work!
Yes, another normal day then!
Have fun all!
Does anyone Twitter? Love to have you with me there as well as here - that's if your on the thing! Just in case (and I know I already have some of you) it's: @johnnydrhodes
Hi All, my blog has an update today, 'Ambition and Moles', and I'll release Pt III of Reginald later in the week! Pop along, all visitors welcome! http://johndrhodesauthor.wordpress.com
Good morning to everybody - a day of work here in North Staffs - but I will be posting somthing on my blog (http://johndrhodesauthor.wordpress.co... some point! It's warm and muggy here and I don't particularly want to spend it doing my paid work but needs must.
Please feel free to drop me a message, recemmend my friendship to another friend or just say hello! Don't forget my book is still for sale on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mr-Memory-ebo...
(you can also get it on Amazon.com)
Thanks to those who are or will be reading it.
Have a good day!
Good morning all, apart from Work (still have to do the day job I'm afraid- very afraid) I'm working on a new Novel - 'The Good Wife', another short story that may or may not turn into more, it's about a talking dog (I know not the first to try that, I love the James Herbert effort though), trying for a certain angle and if I get it, you'll see it.And of course I have to move dear old Reginald on (not Reg, he hates being called that amongst other things).
Catch you soon.
John
As well as all my other roles in life,I do still have a MySpace page for my musical (or not) side. I was many many years ago in a few bands, back in the land of Yorkshire. Please take a little time, to visit me there and see my past (it's not too frightening honest)...
http://www.myspace.com/Johnnydrhodesm...
Just thinking about putting Pt 2 of Reginald up on my blog, probably tomorrow I think. Happy that I'm getting viewers, not many subsribing but hey! Getting some good friends here so that's good. Reading wise just starting a Steven King short story collection, have an Artemis Fowl book to read... still got to get back to my new novel, soon.
