Introduce Yourself to the Group!
Just want to say I could always use book recommendations & feel free to add me to friends :) . I like to compare books & see similar interests.
Hey, guys! Welcome to the group!
Hullo, everyone. I'm Nik. I've had a Goodreads account for ages and like using it to keep track of what I've read, am reading, and want to read. I participated in the challenge (my first) last year and failed rather miserably. This year, I wanted to participate a little more actively in the whole community aspect of the site, so I joined this group……and immediately got overwhelmed by the number of post and the frequency of discussion updates. =) So I just left the browser tab open for a few days and now I'm taking a bit of time to look through and see what's what. I started by publishing my challenge thread and now I'm introducing myself. On to step 3. =]
Nice to meetcha. Good luck to you all in achieving the goals you've set for yourself, and hope you enjoy your journey as much as I plan to enjoy mine.
Welcome Nik! Yes it can get a bit overwhelming because we do post a lot. We're glad you chose this group, and look forward to chatting books with you! :)
HI, My name is Mary.*waves*
And I am a bookaholic and how about you?
Im 31 , have 2 daughers and live in Ontario! :)
Just making my rounds on a few groups, love to be apart of goodreads! It's my site that I will always be on!
Welcome to the group, Mary! You're not the only bookaholic, lol. I usually have up to 4 books going at one time. We're glad you chose to be part of our group! :)
Hello, my name is Nancy.
I found this group through another member (Taylor) and I love reading books that catch my attention. I have a little trouble reading a book that I don't like or have trouble getting into it, so I tend to stop reading it and move on. I can read any books but I only have two favorite authors that I can read all day. They are: Vince Flynn and Jim Butcher. I have read all of there books and love them.

Hi everyoneMy name is Danielle. I'm from Belgium. I read and listen to books in Dutch (my native tongue), English and German.
Hi everyone! My name is Filipa and although I usually read in portuguese I'm trying to practice my english by reading more books in english. I aluays liked to read modern mysteries but I'm trying to diversify my reading.
Hello! I've had a Goodreads account for a few years but rarely used it. Of course one of my resolutions this year is to read more, so I think joining in on some of the discussions here will help! You have some fun challenges listed here and I'm excited to sign up for a few. Looking forward to some good discussion :)
Hi, I'm Lindsay. I'm addicted to goodreads. I've been on it for about a year now. Also within the past year I have rediscovered reading for pleasure, not just reading "assigned materials" for classes. Now I read, read, read and I LOVE IT. I am in another challenge group but (don't tell) I'm getting a little bored of it. This group seems to have some unique, fresh challenge ideas so I am very excited to get started! See you around! :)

I think many of us in here are bookaholic, including myself
Hi everyone! My name is Rebeca, and I am passionate about books. I don't think I have a favourite genre, since I read everything that appeals to me, but if I had to choose I'd have to say classics, and historical fiction, and maybe mystery, sci-fi and dystopian novels.
Usually I read books in portuguese and english.
I'm glad to join you, and looking forward to meet you :)
Hi. I am Nicole. I have always been an avid reader. I do enjoy to write a little when I feel inspired. I have been a book collector since I was 16. Right now I have over 1400 and that does not include the educational, spiritual, and self-help. I would be absolutely thrilled to make some new friends here.
I've been collecting since I was 16. I recently moved cross country and was given the option of bringing the books or the bookshelves. I brought the books. I was disappointed that the current read included nothing that I own. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Hi, my name is Jodi. I live in British Columbia Canada. I love the idea of setting challenges. I don't know if I can list the books I want to read. There are so many and it often depends on my mood. Since getting my kindle I have been reading much more. I look forward to the challenge.
hi, i'm ariel or black lamb. since i got my kindle fire in january, i've finally started reading recreationally again - long story but before that i couldn't afford to keep buying books so i was just rereading the same books on my shelf over and over and over... aaaand now i have access to whatever i want! i decided to challenge myself to read 52 (new to me) books a year, one a week, with no other qualifiers as long as i finish it. :3
Hi there! My name is Lara and I just joined today. I am currently in school and working part-time. I have always enjoyed reading, and despite all my course readings I still try and get some 'me books' in. I have challenged myself to read 25 books by the end of the year. The only rules are: no re-reads and no textbooks.
Hi! I'm Cassidy, I figured I might as well join this group since I've been on goodreads for a while now. I like this group since it's motivational and I can read the books I want to read :D
Hi everyone! I'm Alessia and I'm from Italy. I've been on the group for a while now (since the end of December I think) and I'm participating in the TBR twins forum, but I hadn't introduced myself yet(shame on me!). So sorry =) I really like the challenges you have here, they're so original. My favourite genres are classics and literary fiction, with a bit of sci-fi and some non-fiction thrown in from time to time. I usually read in Italian (my mother tongue) and English. I'm fond of English literature, ever since I read Pride and Prejudice when I was 15.
I used to read a lot but I've been really busy lately and then I realized that I read only 15 books in 2012, so I decided to challenge myself: my goal is to read at least 50 books this year.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to talking to you and participating more in the forums.
Ciao :)
Hi all. This is my first group on Goodreads so I'm an excited little newbie. :)My name is Jen. I'm from Georgia (the state not the republic) and as you might have guessed, I love to read. I'm lucky enough to work at a small, independently owned bookstore, and my TBR pile is becoming more of a mountain at this point. I read almost any genre, but my favorites are General Fiction/Literature, History, Mystery/Thriller and Chick Lit.
I just joined the 2013 challenge in the last week or two, and I've set a goal of reading 100 books this year. So far, so good. My other goal is to write reviews for the books I read, which I'm terrible about. I love reading other people's reviews, and I feel like I need to contribute more.
Other than reading my favorite topics are travel, animals, nail polish (my guilty pleasure) and history. If anyone wants to friend me, feel free.
Hi everyone. This is my first group on good reads. I am hoping it will help me keep accountable to my goal of reading 100 books this year. I have always wanted to read 100 books in a year, and have been keeping track of what I read in a notebook since 2002. Somehow though I always get sidetracked and haven't made it to 100 books in a year yet, hopefully this year I will!Right now I am into reading YA sci-fi/fantasy/dystopian novels. I have also been reading a lot of Christian fiction, but I like other genres, I just go through spurts where I read more of one kind of book than others. Currently I read a lot of what I find for free on Amazon for my Kindle.
Hi Kalee. This group is great for helping people complete their challenge. I certainly don't think I could complete my goal of 100 books without it. Welcome!
