Hello everyone. My name is Hannah. I'm from small town in Texas. I've recently started reading again after graduating from college. I hope to read at least 80 books by 2013.
Hi there! My name is Jennifer, and my goal is 100 books. I had the same goal last year, and missed it by a few because of the holidays and getting sick. This year, I will do it!
Hits Jennifer. My goal is 100 books to but I'm a bit behind schedule. Good luck with your challenge and welcome to the group.
Hi I'm Shasta. Found this group today through looking at reading challenge groups for 2013. I am in the Vaginal Fantasy group as well and wanted a little bit different choices for some of my reading. I'm pregnant, due March 21st with my first child (a girl). Look forward to getting to know some of you!
Craig wrote: "Welcome and congratulations!! Trying to fit some books in before the baby comes? ;)"Definitely, although I'm going to continue trying to read after she's here. Maybe I can work it in by reading to her.
That's a good idea! My good friend just had a baby, and she does it with audiobooks. That way, she can get through a book while holding the baby.
Kara wrote: "That's a good idea! My good friend just had a baby, and she does it with audiobooks. That way, she can get through a book while holding the baby."That's a good idea too, although my mind tends to wander with audiobooks. Where does she get her audiobooks from?
Congratulations Shasta! And welcome (even though I'm still a newbie myself)! Once your baby's born, you could always read aloud to her, Apparently it's never too early to start. My cousin does and always says it's a wonderful little bonding moment for both her son and herself. And apparently it's relaxing too :)
Hello, I am Kisha. And like everyone here I love to read. I joined Goodreads to grow in my reading ventures and it has definitely helped me with that. Can't wait to join discussions with you all and expect me to be very active in this group!
Hello, my name is DeNisa Howe. I have set my goal for 2013 at 208 books. I hadn't really thought about a weekly or monthly goal. I read close to three or four books a week and this doesn't count what I read for in college.
Hi :) Im Alison. I am from Nebraska. I just found this group a few minutes ago. I am in another 50 book reading challenge but I think I like this one better because I don't have to read 50 books for the challenge. The other one makes me feel like I have to even though I dont. Right now I am trying to pluck my way through A Game of Thrones. I thought it was pretty boring for a while but just recently in the last few days I have started to figure it out. We'll see how long it takes me to finish! I want to read the others, but they are just so long Im not sure about it. Someone will have to talk me into it! :)
Hey my name is Shaunna and I have a child at the age of 6. I absolutely love to read but have to admit I generally stick to the crime genre so thought joining this group would help me branch out a little. I also read mostly during holidays so would like to expand this to throughout the year. Really looking forward to having people to talk to about my love of books as I mostly drive my friends and family crazy with it.
It's taking me a little while to get used to the group as I'm new so please bear with me :)
Hiya Shauna! Welcome to the group, I think it will be great for you if your looking to branch out a bit.
Craig wrote: "Welcome Kisha and welcome DeNisa, hope you enjoy the group and looking forward to seeing you in some challenges :-)"Thanks Craig....
Hi all! I'm Ashley V (yet another one, I know). I've been on Goodreads for awhile, but this is my first book club ever. I'm a law student so I read too much already, but there are only a few things I love more than curling up with a great book right before bed. I tend to like family sagas (e.g. East of Eden), historical fiction/mysteries (e.g. The Shadow of the Wind), and American biographies (Team of Rivals). However, I'm always open to different genres. Good prose is more important to me than the plot a lot of the time, but I admittedly have my fair share of guilty pleasures (see Game of Thrones).Looking forward to getting to know you all and happy reading!
Hello, I just found this group on Goodreads. I am a member of another group that has helped keep me on track and motivated with reading more. I am recently unemployed and taking advantage of reading as often as a can to get the most out of this "me" time. Currently, I'm reading The Book Thief and Anna Karenina, and am going to start book #2 in the "Song of Ice and Fire" series (A Clash of Kings) very soon! I look forward to completing my challenge of 50 books this year.

Hi there, just found this site (thank you felicia day). i have never tried a book challenge before, and thought it sounded fun. never really done internet forum stuff before, so why not bundle it all up in one new discovery package ^_^. Currently reading several books, Clash of Kings, An American Hero the Red Adair Story, and working my way back through a Philip K Dick reader, and somewhere in there occasionally i remember to make food.. i look forward to finding people to discuss books with ^_^
hi im omar from iraq , i love reading so much but the circumstance of my country dont help me ... so i joined this group to help me the basics of reading and to be regular
Hi everyone! My name is Joyce and I am from the Philippines. I just recently discovered Goodreads and have just started creating my book blog. I am an avid reading of YA, fantasy, mystery and romance and I am planning to read a lot of historical fiction (particularly British) this year.
I have set my goal of reading 100 books this year. I know I am way behind, but I am excited to pull this through. I am currently reading The Fake Prince by Jennifer Nielsen and totally liking it.
Looking forward to interacting with you all! Have a nice day!
Hi!I'm Lianne, a 22-year-old student from the Netherlands. I love books, of course, music, writing, blogging, notebooks, lists and snail mail. My favorite book must be The Shadow of the Wind, but I also loved Stieg Larsson's books. I'm currently reading Catching Fire in Dutch and A Clash of Kings in English.
I haven't set a goal. I can't estimate how much I can read in a year, because I didn't finish much books last year. I discovered Goodreads in January and it has given me a huge reading boost. I want to see how many books I can read this year and then set a goal for next year.
I'm looking forward to discussions in this group!

Thank you!
Hi! I'm Christine! Already having fun with my 2013 reading challenge. I'm particularly fond of American classics, beat and dystopian/utopian novels. Looking forward to some great novel ideas.
I haven't read The Angel's Game and The Prisoner of Heaven from Zafon yet. They are very high on my to read list too.
Craig, I will add that one to my to read list as well. Thanks!Kara, thank you for the welcome! You should definitely read it. He writes such beautiful sentences.
Hello everyone.I'm Javiera from Chile, and my english is really bad. I'm a designer and sociology student. Hoping to finish my 35 books goal for 2013.
Craig wrote: "After reading The Shadow of the Wind I became a huge Ruiz Zafon fan and have another 2 of his books on my TBR which I will definitely be reading this year :)"I loved The Shadow of the Wind. Read it last year and it easily became one of my favorites all-time. I think The Angel's Game and The Prisoner of Heaven aren't as good, but I definitely still recommend them if you're craving more Zafon.
Welcome Jennifer and Javiera! Javiera, my goal is 35 books as well. I'm curious which books you will read :)
Hi I'm Jayne from Newport in South Wales. I love all sorts of books but probably read more crime than anything else. I've set myself a goal of 52 books in 2013.
Hi everyone! My names Shannon. Im from Columbus Ohio. Im a huge book addict. I love just about anything. My goal is 50 books for 2013:)
Hi,
My name is David and I live in Northern Ireland. Hoping to read 30 new fiction novels this year. I have set myself this target because I tend to read science books and just reread Graham Greene novels.
Hoping to start my 30 new novels with bring up the bodies after I have finished rereading Emma.
