Hello! I'm Veronica and I live in Italy. I love reading all genres! I really like the challenges because it allows me to read books that otherwise would not have taken into consideration!

I get it Julia! I'm not a teacher but I've been a student for a while now, I've been doing a few different certificates. I really love school and I go as much as an hobby than as a mean to a carrier, but it's taking most of my reading time, because I've been picking subjects that requires a lot of it. Even though I love it, during a school term, I don't feel like reading for fun, so during summer I'm really happy when I can pick my own reads.
Hello everyone! My name is Elisa and I just finished school so I finally have more time to read! I look forward to interacting with everyone and being challenged. I love reading satire and classic literature, as well as non-fiction essays. I'm trying to broaden my taste, and I hope that this group will allow me to do that!

Kurt Vonnegut is by far my favorite. I feel like anyone can be sarcastic, but not everyone can nail satire. That's what makes Twain, Waugh and Vonnegut so special.
Hey, everyone! My name is Cheyenne. I have been a bookworm ever since I can remember along with my mom and my sister who I have recently converted into a booklover. I will read pretty much anything but I have a special love for historical fiction and epic fantasy. I love reading challenges and join way too many of them for me to finish while trying to work and attend college full time. But hey, maybe I will finish them all someday...
Hi everyone,I enjoy reading. In the past, I was involved with book clubs where you had to meet and discuss at various venues. I'm an elementary teacher who currently instruct fifth graders. It is hard to fit in traveling to these various venues and keep up with grading and other paperwork as well.
I am delighted to be part of this online community. I look forward in being challenge to reach my book reading potential.
Welcome, Tanesha! That's so cool that you're a teacher. Interestingly, my fifth grade teacher is the person who really got me into reading. She would read to us every day, and we got through gems like The Witches and The Rats of NIMH.
Hi, I'm Tanesha. As far as third grade I remember struggling with reading to falling in love doing. I enjoy reading Suspense, Horror, Realistic and Historical Fiction.

Welcome to the group. If you like horror books, we are doing a Stephen King double feature buddy read in October. We are reading Carrie and The Shining. You are more than welcome to join in. Check out the buddy reads section.

Hi Tanesha,
Welcome. I taught grade five for so many years. Last year I switched to grade one. I love it. I feel like I have a lot more time on my hands.
Welcome, Tanesha. The 5th Grade teacher connection is poignant. My 5th Grade teacher also read to us, The Iliad and the Odyssey. I read them on my own as a freshman in High School. I must say, that hooked me into experiencing history and literature as an entertaining interest. Do you read to your class?
Hello, my name is Jennbunny (JB). I love all kinds of books and have my collection picked out to read this year (26 books). I am currently in college so reading slows down some. Currently I live in Tampa, FL. My two kids are adults. I enjoy reading challenges and have been looking for a challenge group.
hi everyone! I'm Bara, finished university not long ago and am working now. :)I've always loved reading, unfortunately I don't have that much time anymore now that I'm working. But I discovered goodreads not long ago, as well as your group and hope to get some more motivation from the group dynamics! :D
Hi Ba, welcome to the group! Goodreads is a great way to motivate yourself to read - and a great way to find new books too!
Congratulations on finishing university :).
Ba I have found that I have been reading so much more ever since I joined challenges. Any challenge that you join, you can set your own goal. They are fun and a great way to start talking to others in the group.
Hi everyone! I'm really looking forward to getting involved in this group, I'm new to goodreads and this seems like a great way to kickstart me back into my reading!I'm Carly, I live in Wales in the UK and I'm at college doing my A Levels right now. My English literature course completely swamped me with books to read, so I kinda neglected my own personal readings in order to keep on top of everything - but I can't wait to get back into some good books! :)

Thank you! I think your group will be a great motivation to me. :)

I fixed my personal challenge for 2013 (well at least for what's left of it :) ) but maybe I should join also some short term challenges. I'd like to see some which involve non-fiction books, because that's my focus at the moment. Do you know if there are any at the moment? Thx!
Ba, you can use nonfiction for any of the challenges if you want to. But there's also the Dewey Decimal Challenge which is purely about nonfiction.
Carly, welcome to the group. I hope the books you had to read were good ones and you didn't have to discuss them so much that you lost your enjoyment. That always happened to me in school, and I always felt a bit sad.
Hi, my name is Elisa and I love to read. I think anyone can agree when it comes to doing dishes or reading it isn't a hard decision. I have a bad habit of going to my comfort zone of reading and would love to find some new authors and genres to start reading. Usually read historical fiction based in England or France. I also have read other historical fiction. And I enjoy any paranormal type of books and also FBI thrillers.
SilverRaindrops wrote: "Ba, you can use nonfiction for any of the challenges if you want to. But there's also the Dewey Decimal Challenge which is purely about nonfiction."Thanks, Silver! The challenge sounds great!

Well they weren't the worst books to read, but not something I would read for my own enjoyment that's for sure!
Thanks for all the welcomes!
