The Rules of Backyard Cricket by Aussie author Jock Serong.
Colourful story of brothers who are like a psychotic Shane Warne split in two. (Google him if you don't know him.)

Li'l Owl wrote: "Have gotten very little reading done. Too many distractions in the hospital. Have put aside Eragon for now and started
Murder on Ice..."
I always find hospitals too distracting to read in Owl. There's always something going on. Mysteries and crime are always good because you don't have to concentrate too hard.

This engaging crime novel set in a cold climate provided me with several hard-to-find items for the Scavenger Hunt. Although it was a ripper read, I found it had a few major flaws for me, so I rated it 3★s

This book was a random audiobook download from my library, one day when I needed an audiobook. I knew nothing about it other than the blurb, but ended up really enjoying it (as much as it is possible to enjoy a rather grim storyline). Set in Canada, which was also a nice change. Recommend it. 4 stars

This is only my second book this month and today is the 29th!

Night Watch #4 in the Kendra Michaels series by Iris Johansen.
I haven't read the first three, when she was blind, but she's obviously kept her acute awareness.

I haven't read any Inspector Banks for a while - I think the TV show soured me on it a little - watched one episode and the actor did not portray him the same as he lives in my head.
So didn't watch any more TV and back to the books. Banks visists Tallin - nice sense of place. 3.5 stars
