Just finished one of those - Talking to the Dead by Harry Bingham

In the circumstances, I went in with fairly moderate expectations, but came out having enjoyed it. Police investigation, set in Wales, with an interesting main character and secondary characters. I will look for #2 in this series.

I love this series, some stories are stronger than others, but listening to them on audiobook is my happy place.
