PattyMacDotComma | 818 comments I really enjoyed both of these! This clever Czech detective has an appetite and wardrobe and disregard for protocol like Mick Herron's Jackson Lamb without the farts. Loved and understood (!) the Eastern European intrigue.
Graham Brack,s first two in the series:

Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished Now We Are Dead by Stuart MacBride. Logan McRae makes brief appearances by phone, text and once in person, but this 10.5 in the series is predominantly about Roberta.

At one point, I nearly gave up on this series because for 2 or 3 books in a row, it was too grim, too dark, too gory. But then the series lightened up a bit - the crimes are still grim and dark, but dialled back on the gore, and ramped up on the dark humour. But with this book, the humour at times went to broad farce - a little too much so for me. But overall, I still enjoyed it, and gave
Now We Are Dead by Stuart MacBride ★★★★ (although I nearly rounded down half a star...)

I've quit this series for the same reason Kerri. Not sure if I'll continue - I own quite a few though...

I just looked back Brenda and saw that 4,5,6 were the ones that nearly made me give up - lightens up a bit after that, so maybe give those ones a miss!

Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished Dark in Death by J.D. Robb which I managed to squeeze into 6 different challenges! #46 in the series - a bit quieter perhaps than some of the others in terms of action, but a good weekends reading for me.

Dark in Death (In Death, #46) by J.D. Robb ★★★★

(2 more books to read before end of Feb, can I do it? Watch this space.)
