Lily Malone is a journalist and freelance writer who discovered after years of writing facts for a living, writing romance was much more fun.

Lily juggles writing with the needs of a young family, and when she isn’t writing, she likes gardening, walking, wine, and walking in gardens (sometimes with wine).

She loves to hear from readers and you can visit Lily at www.lilymalone.wordpress.com; email her at lilymalone@mail.com or connect with her here on Goodreads or find and like her page on Facebook, http://www.facebook.com/lily.lilymalone

I get incredible plot insight while I'm walking and the only trouble with that is, I don't have pad nor paper with me and usually by the time I get home I forget.
In bigger cases of WB, I've found writing things that don't have anything to do with my book helps. For example, a fan fiction serial called Coffeelandia which we do with my author group, www.naughtyninjas.net or even a blog post.
This year I wrote a completely unrelated short story of 3000 words. It wasn't a romance - it was a fairly dire topic actually - but it helped get the words flow on my next romance again. It's like tricking your body and brain into writing.

So far these have been in South Australia (Hahndorf, McLaren Vale and the South Australian outback for His Brand Of Beautiful and The Goodbye Ride) and more recently, Busselton and Margaret River in Western Australia for Fairway To Heaven. I like it when people say something about my descriptions and settings makes them want to visit the places where my books are set. It makes me feel like I've done a good job of translating a place to the page.(less)

A Country Vet Christmas – new book

Here’s a project I’m excited to tell you about. With four other authors, I’m involved in a collaborative effort to produce a Christmas-themed, vet-themed, all-new-story book that will be available everywhere in October!

It’s called A Country Vet Christmas, and it’s the brainchild of the very awesome, Penelope Janu. Pen pitched the idea to our publisher, Harper Collins, of combining five rural r

Wow.
Another story by this author with a wonderful theme of female empowerment and female connections through friendship, family and history. I think I have actually preferred this story to Lost Flowers of Alice Hart.

Awesome!
I think this is the third Chris Hammer book I've read, and this has shot to top of the list as my favourite. I really enjoyed being in Nell's head for much of this one. The descriptions of the forest were magical, and the timelines (although
