Put me down for 20! A lot of the authors I've read this year have to been new to me. A benefit of picking books based on the covers, I guess. You can see this challenge and others at my corner. The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness - ★★★★★
My Life As a White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland - ★★★★
Forests of the Heart by Charles de Lint - ★★★
The Windup Girl by Paolo Bacigalupi - ★★★
Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder (also read the two sequels to this book) - ★★★★
Mona Lisa Awakening by Sunny (+ 2 sequels) - ★★★★
Boneshaker by Cherie Priest - ★★★★

Bones of Faerie by Janni Lee Simner - ★★★★
The King's Bastard by Rowena Cory Daniells - ★★★

COMPLETED: 12/20
18. I Drink for a Reason by David Cross - 3/5. I would have scored the book 5/5 if it had ended on page 171. After that point, things just went downhill and boring.
59. Miriam Toews (Swing Low)That completes this challenge for me. :) I'll keep reading new authors, of course, but I won't keep track anymore.
Two more completed the challenge, well done Trevor and Lisa!! What were your favourites of the new authors?
Tough question!! My favorite new author book was The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. But I'd have to say my favorite new author was Cris Beam because I've actually looked up more works by her since I read her for the first time.
I really liked a few of the new authors, but my favorite was Sharon Kay Penman. I'm reading my second Penman book right now and really enjoying it.
