Hey! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Aw sorry the summer hasn't been so hot ;p But keep on trucking! It's hard sometimes for me to stay positive with so much competition and just stuff we have to keep up with on a daily basis. But you're right, we have to keep moving like a shark...or we'll die, lol.
Haha I bet! What kind of 80's chick were you? Big hair and leather pants or more of a Molly Ringwald? Oh man, love it. You should watch The Carrie Diaries! They do a great job of showing 80's with a modern cast. :D

Derrolyn Anderson Hey there!

It's been a cruel summer so far (har har 80's reference), but I'm hanging in there. Looks like you're still fighting the good fight too and that makes me happy.

Above all, we must not quit striving :)

And yes, I'm sucking up 80's stuff (what a blast from the past!) like crazy. Watched "Valley Girl" last night, LOL.

Exactly! No reason but to be a positive thinker ;) I had every intention of finishing Vynasha pt1 before July but life had other plans. Sometimes you just have to take things as they come and write when you can, as I've been recently learning.
So wish I had your skills with photoshop! I know it takes a lot of discipline, but worth it once you get it all together.
Aw thanks! Though I certainly can't take credit for my covers, that's all Najla! But you should check out some cover artists like her on Deviantart. I know a lot of them have tutorials you can look at for some of the more complex stuff. :)

I'm only about 1/4 of the way into #3, but I'm an optimist, and I hope to get both of them done by Christmas.
Thanks about the covers - They're super basic, but I still need to work on my Photoshop skills, and it's easy-peasy to rely on stock photography.
I think you're covers are AWESOME, mysterious and atmospheric, and I hope to go a little more abstract like that in the future...

Jennifer Derrolyn wrote: "Hey Jenn! Yes, I decided to re-do my covers and thought I'd give myself something to aim for... Now comes the hard part ;)

Well the covers look great. I'm positive that these look best, though the first were good too. But these are more minimalist and I always like seeing series characters on the covers of these kinds of books. :) Aw thanks! Just trucking away at it as usual, you know? And I think you're gonna love Vynasha once I get it ready to pub :D How close are you with the sequels?

Derrolyn Anderson Hey Jenn! Yes, I decided to re-do my covers and thought I'd give myself something to aim for... Now comes the hard part ;)
Your author page is looking awesome & Vynasha sounds really good!

They are good! Oh man, well I have to admit I've been guilty of doing that in the past. Sometimes it's just hard to get through those school assignment reads. :[ Hope you have a great weekend! I've got more revisions and research planned here, and I'm about to start the long haul :)

It sounds good! I love the names! (: Haha, it's just very confusing. I never finished reading it; I just read enough to write my assignment. :P LOL, finally!

Jennifer Hey girlie! Yep! You can actually check out the synopsis up above listed as Vynasha! You will like it :) Oh man with a name like Slaughterhouse I'm surprised it's not somewhat thrilling at least. Guess it went the way of the "Saw" sequels, huh? I need to check those books out! I've been finishing up the last of the Unicorn Chronicle books by Bruce Coville. So glad I finally get to finish this series like fifteen years later, lol

A new book? :D Same old, same old. Nothing exciting happened yet. I'm reading Slaughterhouse Five and it's super boring! I might not get to finishing it... I'm hoping to start Dare You To and If You Find Me over the weekend. I've heard amazing things about both books!

Jennifer Angela (: wrote: "Haha, you're not crazy at all! I love your accent! :D So how's it going? (:"

I'm just trying to keep a grip on it all, as usual, lol. Working on revising this Beauty and the Beast retelling, and just focusing on one thing at a time. How bout yourself? Read anything good lately? :)
