Michael Cargill - 2nd edition of Saying Goodbye to Warsaw

Looks like it'll have to be Wetherspoons for lunch tomorrow.
Beer in the afternoon. Yuck.
Hey Mike? You ever watch this new (I think it's new) freeview channel calked Quest?
Dave just found it and we've got a really good WWII documentary on at the mo.

Got to wait 5 minutes whilst I let it reboot...

I never knew that cleaning carpets was something that women got all dressed up and excited for.

Obviously you've never been to a carpet cleaning party Michael, best social events ever!

At the moment, I'm right near the end of my current WIP. I had a sticky patch where I wasn't sure how to move things on but I'm just about over that now. In my head I've got a target of sorts of 50k words being the minimum required for a story to be long enough for a solo release and for a while I was worried that this one would fall well short of that.
I've also got one or two interesting ideas for other stories bouncing around in my head at the moment. When I finish this one I might take a break for a couple of weeks and start working on one of them before going back to do any editing.

Initial draft of my latest unnamed book is done!
YES!
So what am I going to do now? Um... maybe leave it a week... do one round of editing and then start on something else to clear my mind... go outside maybe... play on me Xbox...
Oh, the whims of a creative can be so tiresome.

I'll even provide you with colourful tabs.

I didn't work yesterday nor did I sort the papers.
I need one of them rountuoits everyone talks about.

All these things just seem to pass me by.
I remember daughter No.1 was interested in a boy band for a few weeks, can't remember which one it was though - although I have a feeling they could have been Irish.

Could be, it was around the time of the Spice Ladies. I seem to remember a video that got played a lot.
She grew out of it all rather quickly though.

The WWII story that I finished last month is still in hibernation and the 'plan' is to leave it there for another few months before I go back and do any editing.
In the meantime I've written two light hearted short stories and have just started work on a story with a fantasy setting. I have no real plans for it, so it could end up being another short story or it could be a rambling epic monstrosity.
Given that I've never attempted to write a fantasy story before, it's as much an experiment as anything else and assuming things go well the world that I'm building will be strong enough to be used again in the future. It's still early days (a mere 500 words!) so I don't know how prevalent things like magical spells, wizards, elves, dwarves, dragons, wyrms, etc. will be.
tl;dr - I'm making it all up as I go.

I present to you A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUTHOR. It's suitably embellished and exaggerated of course...

Unfortunately I'll have to visit the local Wetherspoons to register it as I didn't get the 3G one.
I don't like Wetherspoons. :(
And it won't be waiting for me when we get there, either.
Delivery between the 16th and 18th, it sez.
