How large is your TBR list? Does it have a mind of its own?

Mine must be up around 200. It has my mind behind it! That's scarier than a mind of its own.

Ahhh mine is only around 100 but have only just joined goodreads.....having a Kobo makes it harder to keep control over as l just keep grabbing more and more books on preview and they end up on my TBR *sigh* l can see l will have no control and my TBR list is just going to run so far away l wont be able to see what l actually have on the list lol.
My TBR list has about 250-300. A couple of weeks ago it was about 150. I borrow most books from the library. And I read books fairly quickly as well. So i'm not too concerned.
Wow, I never knew that anyone had such big TBR piles. Since getting an ereader, I actually have a TBR pile (books are cheap enough)but it's only at around 40. I'm like Phrynne, I read fast.
I read really fast, and can read a couple of books at a time (even though I don't do that too often, I don't get attached to the book as I usually do), so my to-read pile is never as big as any of yours! Currently, I have 62 books in my TBR list.

I love it :)
I own/unread 356 physical books, and 118 on my Goodreads to-buy list
It's bigger than that now Shane... 1649 I think. I doubt I will ever get it down to 0, I keep adding :)

My wife always says I'm too spoilt for choice now.
If I said how many were on my to-read list, I think some of you would die of fright!

Good point. I'll put it in a spoiler so those of you who don't want to be scared can just not look.

I neally fell off my chair LOL! How many books of these do you own Mickey?
I'm not sure. I think after the last batch we ordered arrived, probably half... + I've just added another book...
If you think that's huge...I have an account on the IMDB. You should see my watchlist.
Yeah sort of... There's about 4/5 book cupboards in the house. Most of the books are my mum's though and I can't read them until she has.

OMG Mickey!!!! Even if you didn't add another one, it'd still take about 20 + years to read them all!!!!!!

So assuming I don't add anymore, I'll be 36 by the time they're all be on my read list. Wow. That really is going to take me a long time.

Of course. I still think there are books in the house that I haven't even added yet. Most of the shelves are doubled up!
Mine is 1050, and growing daily. Not sure if I should attempt restraint, or just give into my gluttonous book urges. Always pre-disposed to the latter! Anyway, I'm certainly reading, so the process is guilt free!:)
almost cracked the 1700 *cringe* It's currently at 1690!! OMG! I think I need to go to BA! Bookaholics Anonymous! Here I come... I will probably fall off the wagon!
Only by reading them...Doesn't help when so many are on display, like chocolates in a confectioner's shop... Damn them! Damn them all!:)
I've been run over by the wheels and they backed up and got me again :D hahaha!
I love that analogy Gina! Mmmm chocolate!
Mmmm. Why resist? *Kindle in one hand, paper back in the other* Actually, I've caused a traffic jam at my local library due to my gluttony. Can't resist placing holds on ALL the books I want to read, despite the fact that I can't keep up with them. My husband is reaping the benefits, he's reading one of my 'arrrgh! Can't get to it in time' books right now. :)
('cuse spelling!)

I thought I was bad Gina! I don't think I've ever had my kindle in one hand and a book in the other! OMG! I'm going home to experience that awesomeness right now!!:D :D

Hahaha!! Don't think I could quite manage that Gina;)

:D:D:D Tis pretty awesome, IMMERSED in books!
In my bedroom, separate, away from the internet!:):)
But when you have a kindle in one hand, a paperback in the other, there's no room for writing Gina;)
My TBR list is alot smaller than alot of people who have confessed on this page. Mine is close to 250. And becoming smaller, especially recently. Of all the parts of my body to injure, I injured my eye on Sunday. I don't recommend it at all. It is extremely painful, the morphine they gave me in hospital did nothing when it came to pain relief. I haven't been to TAFE this week. I'll see how I go next week. No long term damage though. So I have been reading more.
Wow Kelly, that's horrible about your eye. Sending 'get well soon' vibes in your direction :) I think that's about the only good thing about being sick or injured, is that you can spend all day reading and people don't look at you funny... haha
Mine was mad earlier in the year, but now I have it hovering between 5-10 books, which I am pretty happy with. Until December that is, when birthday and xmas gifts will no doubt make it skyrocket again.

Bad luck Kelly, I hope you're on the mend. Good to hear there's no long term damage! Take care...:)

How do you keep it so low Nicki?? O_O!!

Best to you, Kelly! Heal well and quickly. I can sympathise. My son poked a plastic dinosaur in my eye a few years ago. I couldn't believe how much it hurt! If I look at the sky (one colour background) I can still pin-point the scratch.
My son has also been pecked in the eye by a chicken. A very scary experience for us all, but luckily, he suffered no permanent injury (he was screaming at the chook from behind a pallet wall at the time--the chook decided his eyeball looked particularly tasty, or perhaps the screaming was getting on her nerves...)

It's scary when something happens to your eye, as it can be so permanent:(
