Hello! My Name Is...

I haven't been on Goodreads for very long, but I've already learned to hide some of my details and to ward of some "friends" - my, I thought this would be a little easier than FB!
I work as a PA, I read a lot through all kind of genres, and I spend too much time on Goodreads which could be spent on reading! Seriously, no, time on Goodreads is not lost time.
Welcome Georgina, I'm glad you found the group! Hopefully we'll be able to help you find a few more authors to love :)
Hi Stef, welcome to the group! The German name is too funny since there are actually a couple of series featuring crocheters. Don't worry - many of us spend too much time on GR!

I only recently discovered cozies as a genre and now my endless appetite for reading has taken a cozy turn.

Thanks! I have found some great threads already. Also, wanted to say that I LOVE the graphic of the old wood-paneled library at the top of this group's homepage.

"If it wasn't for you meddling kids!!"
Hey Heather, welcome to the group! I love catching Scooby Doo on tv now and then. Do you have a favorite culinary series, for the recipes?

Some of my favorite authors (among many, many others) are G.A. McKevett, Elizabeth Peters, and Earlene Fowler.
I'm looking forward to being a participant in this group.
Welcome to the group Pamela! I hope you'll find some new favorites here, and maybe introduce us to some new authors. Feel free to comment on the threads for any of the books we've already read, and i look forward to seeing you in the book discussions.

hi, Connie! I havent seen your msg before. I'm from NH and got few good good friends in MA, always coming down to visit :) Glad to know we're neighbors :)
Jaxie, love the cat pic! Simply adorable!

thanks, it'a tribute to my cat Viggo. Sadly he passed away but his memory is still strong! He was a very loving cat!

Welcome, Joanne. I like all mysteries, but cozies are my real love. I've written three books now and two are cozies.

Welcome Clare! Enjoy the group. I certainly am . I joined not long ago and it has given plenty of reading choices and also the opportunity of meeting new friends. Happy readin!g
Hello to all who are new. I am new as well. Cozy mysteries, my very favorite genre.
Hi Joanne, welcome to the group! I also read a lot of cozies before ever hearing the term. Cozies are great for reading anytime, and you don't have to sleep with the lights on after finishing one :)
jaxnsmom how true! There was a rougher mystery series that actually gave me nightmares. I had to drop that series. I love light mysteries.

Welcome to the group Rebecca! For your intro you should have said, My name is Rebecca and I am a bookaholic :) Luckily, our group is about enabling that addiction!

I love to read & although I'm happy reading many genres I love to relax with cozy mysteries, I grew up reading Agatha Christie & her books have led me to a lifelong love affair with the printed word.
I'd mainly stuck to Brtish authors in the past, M C Beaton, Simon Brett, Catherine Aird & Hazel Holt being amongst my favourites, but after a visit to Lake Tahoe / California a few years ago & numerous visits to some wonderful book stores whilst there I now read many American authors too.
Anyway enough rambling for now, I am so delighted to have found this group.
