I like it. Nothing wrong with manipulative bastards. It's the people who they manipulate who are stupid! But I like all the characters (except Alice).

Why don't you like Alice? She was one of the only ones I could stand!
She's...just...so...annoying! Bounding around everywhere, acting cute, kissing Edward's arse, forcing Bella to be her doll, forcing her to do the party thing. And if she doesn't get her way, she sulks till she does!
I thought she was kind of funny, for those exact reasons. I liked Carlisle the best, though.

I'll admit that I was caught up in Twilight (actually before the craze hit) but now I think that it's a waste of time. I read a book that was published before twilight with several of the exact same ideas, and phrases. I think that Stephanie Meyer is a good writer but that her ideas are unoriginal and that she doesn't follow the same values in her books as she represents as an LDS writer.
She is bullshit, and her being Mormon just makes her a worse human being.
Is it just her being mormon, or that she doesn't act mormon?

We've had this talk, Jayda. Mormonism is not a legit religion, it's so not even plausible, it's a tool for ultra-conservatives.
I don't see why it's not a legit religion. And we haven't had this talk before.
The reason I personally think it's so much bullshit is that essentially, it's just these super neo-con's way of advocating their harmful policies. Joseph Smith was, most scientists believe, a schizophrenic, with grandiose visions, thinking he saw/talked to God.
1. Linguistics. Why, if the American Indians were descended from Lehi, was there such diversity in their languages, and why were there no vestiges of Hebrew in any of them?2. Why does the Book of Mormon say that Lehi found horses when he arrived in America? The horse did not exist in the Americas until the Spaniards brought them over in the sixteenth century.
3. Why was Nephi stated to have a bow of steel? Jews did not have steel at that time, and no iron was smelted in the Americas until the Spanish colonization.
4. Why does the Book of Mormon mention “swords and cimeters” when scimitars (the current spelling) did not come about until the rise of Islam after 500 A.D.?
5. Why does the Book of Mormon mention silk, when silk did not exist in the Americas at that time?
Answer those please.

Until then, here's the literal definition of religion:1 a: the state of a religious b (1): the service and worship of God or the supernatural (2): commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance
2: a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices
I'd say that we are, indeed, a religion.

Well, Brigham Roberts couldn't answer them, so I doubt you'll be able too.
Brigham Roberts was alive in the late 1800's, early 1900's... We've had more revelations since then, though I'm sure you won't believe them to be revelations.
If it has anything to do with a prophecy or a vision from God, then your right, I'm not going to believe in them. You can't just wish history to go away.

The problem is in those 3 books and 2,000 pages she DOESN'T mature. Things kinda just take their own course, and she pretty much just sits back and waits for things to be decided for her.

I KNOW that it is the only true church on the earth. I KNOW that Joseph Smith was really a prophet who saw God and Jesus Christ. I KNOW that he translated the Book of Mormon from the Gold Plates, with Gods help, and that everything writted in that book is true, and NOT a lie. I KNOW all of this and more, and nothing you say will make me ashamed of it or make me take it back.

And what are said observations, inquiry and information that leads you to believe any of that could possibly be true?
I've read the Book of Mormon, and I've done as Moroni told us to to, pray and ask if it is true, and I recieved an assurance that it is. And because the Book of Mormon is true, everything else HAS to be true. (But I have also prayed and recieved an assurance about the truthfulness of everything else.)

I absolutely LOVE The Twilight Saga!!!!! I am a Twilighter!!!!!I like the romance, the characters, the fact that there are vampires in it, and it makes for a fun read!!!!!
