I just re read Breaking Dawn, and i realized something!!

It's not that Sm cant write, it's just that she has an incredibly annoying main character! I realized this, because the part of Breaking Dawn in Jacobs point of view was amazing!! It was funny, well written and enjoyable. But as soon as i got to the part with Bella again, i pretty much lost interest. Jacob FTW.

Yeah, Bella pretty much defines Mary Sue! When its in her POV, she kind of drains all of the personality from the other characters, lJacob and Edward mainly though. When its in Jacobs point of view Edward has a personality again, and so does Jacob. Bella is supposed to be a side character, i know it...

I liked Twlight. It was nothing fantastic, like all the hype has made it to look like, but it was worth the read.
And why shouldn't vampires glitter? It is something new, a fresh take on an exhausted subject. Twilight is aimed at young kids, so the glittering is quite fitting I think.
I think if you just read it as a kids book, and disregard the fact that it may be 'un-cool' to do so, you'll find that it is a good read.

Chandani I so agree with what you said about Breaking Dawn and Bella! I love Jacob's character to me he was the most well written out of all of them. I do find Bella annoying. I do find it hard to relate to her character because I feel she is written to appeal more to the YA advanced than someone in their 20’s (like me)… I still liked the books.

BTW: I'm on a global hunt to find ANYONE besides a few of my bffs who prefer Jacob over Edward. Sure, he glitters and everything, but Edward is really over-protective and I think Jake's more fun :)
