I just checked. I don't see a vote under your name.

Traci @Kathy, if you voted within this week I think you're good. The link, I think, is just a reminder to vote before it closes.

message 372: by Laurel (new)

Laurel MrsJ,

You spent immense amounts of your own time, (and money I might add), to wrangle a huge group of strong wills and personalities into creating a masterful list of fantasy that is JUST FOR US! I think you're amazing!

Three Cheers!!!

message 373: by Roshio (new)

Roshio | 106 comments Just voted. The guilt is killing me. I'm sorry Harry, Kvothe and all you lovely characters *guilty face*. Thanks so much Ms J, this was great fun. Now we wait.

Temi (temisol) | 39 comments I am SO glad that there are multiple Piers Anthony books on this list * grins *. I reckon about 85% of the list are books I picked! Woop!

message 377: by Lizzy (new)

Lizzy (lizzywithfire) | 2 comments This is so difficult. It would be much easier if my favourite series had made it. But oh well, I was suprised it got to the fourth round anyway.

Now I need to go flip a coin...

message 378: by Viv (new)

Viv JM Wow, what a list! Thanks Mrs J. Voted but was defo a tricky choice!

Jason (darkfiction) | 3204 comments Voted! This, I think, was the easiest vote for me.

message 381: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl Landmark (clandmark) | 861 comments Voted. I see a lot of books on the list that I haven't read yet, so I can already hear my bookshelves groaning in anticipation!

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) Thanks again for all the hard work, MrsJ, and everyone who helped her!

message 383: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Xu (kxu65) Voted, and was glad to see Drizzt still on there, even though I did not see it on the last two polls.

message 384: by Bryan (new)

Bryan (blyoung) | 1 comments If there were any justice Jack Vance's masterwork Lyonesse would still be there. I did vote for it every time but it seems I was alone.

There are still some great works on the list that I'll have no dearth of choices, but I would encourage more people to read the Vance as apparently quite a few voters don"t know what they're missing.

message 385: by Traci (new)

Traci I've read the first book in Tales of the Dying Earth of Vance and loved it. Haven't read Lyonesse though.

message 386: by MrsJoseph *grouchy*, *good karma* (new)

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 7282 comments I didn't vote for series that I haven't completed yet...even if I really liked the first few books.

My heart broke a little to see that so many people here haven't read Andre Norton's Witch World series.

I think I'll go on a mission...

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) The great thing about this list is it's encouragement to read many books that some of us haven't read. I'm excited, actually!

message 388: by Traci (new)

Traci That's my dilemma. I'm down to two favorites. One I have finished, that has great characters, great writing, but has some slow parts. Almost but not quite perfect, imo. And another that I have not finished, have no hope of finishing in two weeks, but one that so far I cannot think of one minus.

I think I'm putting more thought into this than I did voting for president. Lol.

message 389: by Bill (new)

Bill (kernos) | 350 comments For me there is no question at all from any point of view that LOTR is and will always be the #1, most important fantasy. So I had to vote for it.

What I would have liked to be able to do is let you all know what my 2nd and 3rd or 2nd to 5th best/important fantasies are.

But, alea jacta est

message 390: by Amelia (last edited Oct 26, 2011 08:44AM) (new)

Amelia (narknon) Great list of books. I'm surprised by some of the ones that are on it and some that aren't. Overall I'd say that these really are excellent choices.

But you can! You can create your own thread with the list of books you think are most important and start a debate... ;-)

Or you can start a listopia (but I hate those...it's too random for me).

message 392: by Dana (new)

Dana | 140 comments I had to vote for the one I go back to and read over and over. I think it's turned out to be a pretty good list. Several of my favorites made it. There are quite a few that I've been meaning to read and some that I've never heard of. It's going to be a pretty good guide next time I'm browsing in the book store!

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 5387 comments I think everybody who knows me knows what I voted for. For me it had to be one of 2 and I went with the one I've "endorsed" so often. LOL

Elizabeth Moon, Deed of Paksenarrion. I only name it to get it out there for anyone who may be looking around for a title to vote for.

It's a great series and definitely under appreciated. I really loved that character. It was so awesome to read a female character like that.

message 398: by Mach (new)

Thanks again, MrsJ!

Kevin Xu (kxu65) Everyone, I think has their own favorites, me with Drizzts, Mike with Deed of Paksenarrion, and MrsJoseph with Witch World to name a few..
