MrsJ, thanks for your hard work. Your efforts are appreciated!I had a bit of a problem finding something I wanted to vote for (missed it scrolling down), so I just did a search for the author's last name.
Now I'm second-guessing my choices! LOL!
Hi all.I checking the poll today I have noticed quite a few entries by non-FA members. All votes by non-FA members will be discarded so I suggest - if you want your vote to count - that you use your real and full Goodreads name.
Voting on this list made me realize just how much of a fantasy 'beginner' I am! I'm excited that I have so many new series and books to discover =D

Well done. Great effort putting that all together. First go through I had 14. Then it was time for the really tough calls.
I had 21 first go, took 4 times to get it to 10...

That leaves me with 183 books still on the list. Other than the top 17 books, none of the other books have more than 20 votes. I don't think that makes for a very good top 100 list, do you?

IMO it's up to you. You did most of the work. So I'm good with whatever you decide. :)

This sounds like a good idea to me. I know when I did my voting there were books that I really like, but had to give preference to the ones that I thought were really the best.

It's up to you, but I agree with Carol. Take off the front runners and we'll narrow it down amongst the rest.
Yeah, I'm inclined to agree with Carol.
I think Carol's plan is a good one, too.
Why can't you remove the bottom 83? and if there are alot of books with the same amount of votes that are ranked a little under or a little over 100 place we vote on those books to se who makes the top hundred.
For exaample if book 83 to 112 have the same amounts of votes, we do a vote on them and the winners get on the top hundred.
I was thinking about removing the top 5 - they have the majority of votes - and removing all the books with only "0" or "1" votes. Then we can poll on the rest. The reason I say the top 5 and not the top 10 or 20 is that other than the top 5 - no single book has more than 30 votes. In fact, there is a sharp downward spike from the 5th book to the 6th book.
Any complaints? If no, I'll start the new poll shortly.
