Fran,I've just finished Slave to Sensation and while I really liked it and thought the plot was very original, I think I'll just need to re-read it to form a strong opinion. I don't know, it's just one of those books that every time you read it, the more you can find hidden meanings.
I had a really good time with it, so thanks for introducing me to this new world :D
I just finished Virgin River. I really enjoyed this book! Very heartfelt and a feel good slow romance story with a little bit of passion and action excitement in the mix. I did find the little side story of The 16 & 14 year old a little strange though which is why this isn't 5 stars, I wonder if this story will continue in later books? One way to find out :)All of my books this month have been fantastic! Thanks again Kimberly, 4 read so far!
Hi KarenF,I read Sins of the Heart last week. I really enjoyed it and plan on continuing with the series. I've managed to lose Seduced by A Stranger somewhere in my house. I guess that means it's time to clean. *sigh*
Thanks for introducing me to Eve Silver!

LethalLovely, I finished Yours Until Dawn today. I had several other books to finish before this pick. I'm glad I finally got to it. Thanks for the rec.
I finished Sister Mine Recommended by Elise:-) I loved it, really sad, heartwarming, funny witty book x x
Mandy - can I be added to the list? I finished my buddy read of My Favorite Witch with Photojim and while he posted (#851) I forgot.

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. Great recommendation, I would not have read this one other wise."It is good but I'm finding it a little slow.

I'm glad you enjoyed it Larissa :)
Jo wrote: "Hi Lili,This is my first time doing this challenge, so I hope I have this done right."
You did great Jo! and my picks were great, I had a hard time picking just one so I picked 2!
I just finished Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie and it was hilarious!
I had read some of her books before but it was a while ago and I enjoyed it so very, very much!
Cal was super perfect and I liked Min a lot, she's so funny!
I'm about to start His at Night by Sherry Thomas, told you my picks were too good to just read 1 book!
Thanks again Jo!
I finished Awaken by Katie Kacvinsky on 10/23. I loved this book. It is a story in the future about a girl whose whole life is ruled by the digital world and how she tries to break free from it. I highly recommend it!!
This week I finished The Comforts of a Muddy Saturday and Julia's Chocolates, neither of which were my favorites of the month, but I'm still glad I read them. On to The Year of Living Scandalously!
I finished
over the weekend for this challenge. I'm not very familiar with cowboy romances, so I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed this story! Thanks!
I finished
Midsummer Moon by Laura Kinsale for this challenge. Pretty good read!So I've now completed both buddy reads, and one recommended read :-) Fun challenge! Thanks for doing this.
Valerie ~Varuca~ wrote: "I finished another of my picks from KarLynP-
-it was a really good book, much more emotional than I expected. Thanks for the pick...I'm glad I finally read it."Glad you liked it Valerie!
I finished The Darkest Surrender and Animal Magnetism. The first was okay. I think I'm getting tired of the lords. The second was the first book I've read by Jill Shalvis and I thought it was very sweet. I will definitely read more by her.
Julie wrote: "LethalLovely, I finished Yours Until Dawn today. I had several other books to finish before this pick. I'm glad I finally got to it. Thanks for the rec."
Yay! Glad to hear you liked YUD, Julie!
Lacy, I just finished The Night Circus, and I can honestly say that I really liked it. I wasn't sure when I started it, but it was really good. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it, but it was much better than I thought it was going to be. Thanks for recommending it.
I just finished Magic Bites I thought it started a bit slow, but I really enjoyed it in the end. I was told the next book is much better, do I'm really excited about the series. As far as the male lead goes I was surprised at the initial selection, disappointed when it failed, and excited about where I think its going to lead.
Thank you for the excellent suggestion.

MountainKat,Finished
and
. I think I enjoyed Canyons of Night more. Zach, hero of Breaking Point was not my favorite hero in the series thus far. Thanks for the picks!!
I read Dragon Bound
& loved it! I need to get busy & read the rest of the series! Thanks for the recs & the buddy read Lauren!
in case anyone hasn't seen it, here is the thread for November - http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/6...
Christine S. wrote: "I read Dragon Bound

So glad you enjoyed it!
I finished
and enjoyed it immensely. It is a quick read about fairies. Still don't know if I like fairy stories because they have some many rules and their "history" can be confusing. I gave it 4 stars!
I finished City of Bones. I didn't love it like so many others have, but I liked it enough to pursue the series. Thanks, KJ, for finally giving me the nudge to check out this series.
Kami wrote: "I finished First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones, my buddy read with Gigi. I thought it was really good and gave it four stars. I want to read the second book in the series now."Thanks Kami! I enjoyed the book as well. It was very creative! Thanks for the great rec and the buddy read.
Sandy wrote: "I finished my pick, Persuasion. I liked it very much. Thanks to Carla for the nudge to read it!"I'm glad that you liked it; the newer BBC movie is very good, too...I love that the heroine gets a second chance.
Amy J.,Wow, I almost didn't make it onto the finished list for October because I've failed to post here what I've finished reading!
I read Double Play - which I really enjoyed. A good, quick read. And I also finished Making Waves - wasn't quite my cup of tea at the moment, but overall enjoyable with no serious drawbacks. I agree it was laugh out loud funny at times, but it felt a little "beginner" to me...? I don't know, I think it was just my mood. Thanks for the recommendations!

I finished reading Pleasure Unbound a couple of days ago. I think it was 10/25/11 and I give it ***** It was excellent. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Mandy: Better late than never, right?? Im so sorry i didnt post my book update, but i have had a crazy month. However i got 2 book recs down, and let me tell you they were great!!!!
and
Thank you so much for both hosting and picking for me!! :) xoxoxoxo
Ok, this is my first month in this challenge. Is there something special about the review that needs to be done to get on the finisher list? I didn't do a detailed review but I did note I read First Grave on the Right and it was great in post 678. If I need to do more please let me know.
Sorry! With 6 billion people reading a zillion books I'm bound to miss someone eventually. *sigh*It helps when the book you read is specifically named in what you post. Also, with buddy reads often they're not finished at the same time. So, I don't add them as a group. I wait for each person to post that they read it. (I know that wasn't the case here. Just putting it out there if anyone else is wondering.)
To Macwolf Elise :( I can't finish
by the end of the month. I think my brain is shortcircuited by all the meds I took this month and can't follow the language as well as I would have liked. I'm not giving up on it, just putting back in the TBR pile for another time. Thanks for the rec and I'll let you know when I finally do finish it.
Shell - Are you reading P&P? Have you tried it on audiobook?P&P was actually the first audiobook I've listened and I loved it...I don't know that I would have been able to figure out what was going on if I'd read it. Miss Austen has such long sentences!
Shell - I highly recommend P&P as an audiobook as well - I think Nadia May was the narrator when I liked to it - for some reason my brain hears classics and just shuts down - so I do lots of them in audiobook.
I finally finished up one of my picks - Beyond Eden for some reason I just struggled with this - normally I love menages, but something was missing. It did get better towards the end, but I never felt any kind of connection/sympathy with the characters...probably 2.5 stars, but thanks for the pick!
