Sue,
I'm so glad you liked Archangel's Blood! I sent you Seven Exes, I hope you enjoy that one too :)

Happy Monday! Let me know if you want to start One Grave at a Time today or tomorrow. Both days work for me! If not, that is fine too!"
I'm ready to start right now. Do you want to discuss as we go or when we're both done? Should we set up a thread in the Dare you to Read section?

Also checked off the TBR list this weekend was

I enjoyed reading this, however, there were times when I wasn't too fond of the heroine, if you could call her that. The characters and storyline were well thought out and well written. And yes, it did make me want to go out and get the next book in the series.
Currently reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, but paused in order to read a book by our ask the author of the week. However, I can see why it's such a popular book, so I will be picking it back up as soon as I'm done with my current book.

Okay, I will start it in the morning. I'm cool with doing it either way, discussing during or at the end. If we decide to discuss it while reading it, we should set up a thread. It seems to work well, not having to search this thread for our posts. Let me know if you want me to start the thread. I am looking forward to reading this with you!

I'm happy you starter Harry Potter. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Talk to you soon!

Now...it's on to Dark Lover!

Now...."
I enjoyed A Hunger Like No Other when I read it a couple months ago. I hope you like Dark Lover! It's one of my favourites.

Iris, I hope you continue with the series. It gets better and the 3rd book in the series, IMO is the best book out of the series - Elizabeth's Wolf.

OH - I have to totally agree with that statement. In fact, I liked it so much that the only reason I kept reading the next 17 books was in the hopes that one of them would be as good as this one. Nope. While there were others in the series that were pretty good, I was mostly disappointed.

How about we start our buddy read nest week? I just committed to readA Discovery of Witchesthis week.
How about we read Bad Boys Do? I want to see w..."
Thats sounds good. This week is kinda busy for me, I'll pick up the book over the weekend. I also want to know where the series is going.

I just finished

I just finished City of Bones. It was the best mindsuck of a book that I have read in a while. I spent half the time wanting to punch Clary and the other half just loving the story and the book.
I think I am going to move on to Ravished by Amanda Quick now.

All my books so far have been 4 or 5 star reads for me.
I read
Twenties Girl as a buddy read with Nancy which was tons of fun.
Really enjoyed an older Jennifer Crusie, Tell Me Lies, and I just finished Your Scandalous Ways.
Nancy recommended One Night Is Never Enough which I'm about to start. Since it's the second in the series, I had to read Seven Secrets of Seduction first.

I agree - I think buddy reads make everything more enjoyable. Because even if you don't like the book, it's great to discuss it with others. Thanks for joining me! Since we bought the trilogy at such a great price, we should probably keep reading at some point. I'm not in a huge rush to do so, but let me know when you decide to.

I finished

I definitely want to finish the trilogy. I'm interested to see where she is going with it all. Please let me know also when you are thinking of picking it back up. It would be great to continue the buddy read with the it. thanks!

Thanks for the rec and push to read it, Cathy. I'm still enjoying our chat session. I'll check by our thread tomorrow to see what you thought.
I'm going to try to get to my second pick this month. We will see. I am way behind on my reading!

Loved it, too! If you want to do a buddy read, let me know!

Books read this month:

So glad you liked the picks Suzanne!! I'm starting Angel's Blood tonight and I'll post what I think as I go along in our thread you created :)

Sounds good - I kept meaning to write things in the dare you to read post but with never doing one before I wasn't sure what to write. I can also see why you like "One for the Money" only a couple of chapters in and Janet Evanovich's writing style really appeals to me

She's so good!! The series gets better and better :) I'm on book 12.

I'm so glad you liked it!!! It was definitely one of my favorite stories by far!! ^___^

Books read this month

I didn't like the non-changeling books as much. So Bonds of Justice and Blaze of Memory were not my favorites of the series. But I LOVE the rest of them.

I'm so glad they keep getting better! I always worry when I read a first book in a series that I love because then I get even more disappointed when the rest stink. I'm glad I have multiple people telling me that the books are great! It'll push me to continue reading them sooner ;)

How did you like The Night Circus I saw several picked it this month? Thanks again for the rec's. I'm gonna continue w/ all three of these series

And each time I've delayed reading one of these books (Psy-changling), I've kicked myself and wondered why I didn't jump on it sooner!! (I'm nearly up to date now - just waiting on Kiss of Snow to arrive - can't wait!!)

I finished

It's such a fun and enjoyable series. Glad you liked Bonds of Justice. It's one of my favorites from the series.

Thanks for the pick Yz the Whyz. I can't wait to read the next one in the series.

Thanks I do like the Greek Mythology/ gods and goddesses angle. I will try to add the next book to one of the challenge's i do next month or I'll see if i can add it to my "seasonal" challenge.
I know what I'm gonna recommend are young adult/children's books but have you tried Rick Riordan's mythology series. They are quick reads and actually pretty well written. My son and I read the Percy Jackson series together; we are now working on the Kane (Egypt mythology) family series and the Heroes of Olympus series.
