June - Pick It For Me challenge

It's a pleasure to pick for you again! Luckily, I kept a record of the previous picks I did for you so these are all new. Hope you enjoy them!
FROM YOUR TBR
1. Intrigued: Matched by Ally Condie - I'm intrigued by both the cover and the storyline.) I'm in line at the library for the audiobook so I hope to read it soon!
2. Made me laugh: The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella - I don't think the cover is particularly funny but the book is. I almost PIMP laughing while I was reading it.
3. Envious: Secrets of a Summer Night by Lisa Kleypas OR And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie - I wasn't sure what to pick for this category but at the end, I went with two of my favorite authors which I've read almost every book. I'm envious that you're just starting to read them and have tons of good books left to enjoy. ;)
FROM MY READ SHELF
4. 5 stars: Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles - The last book I gave 5 stars was the last in a series so I figure I should pick a standlone. I just LOVED this book.
5. Stormy night: Flowers from the Storm by Laura Kinsale OR The Host by Stephenie Meyer - I really didn't know what to recommend for this one as I don't read any differently on stormy nights than on regular nights (LOL!) so I just recommended two of my favorites. Of course, I couldn't help myself and gave you a book with 'storm' in the title!
6. Pick-me-up: Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James - If I need a pick me up, any book by Julie James would definitely be among the choices. Last time I recommended you a book by her and you enjoyed it so why another one?
BUDDY READS
7. Reading Next from my TBR: The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen OR The Blood of Flowers by Anita Amirrezvani OR The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook - I always have a group of books I'm planning to read next, not one in particular, but here are three I'm planning to read in June. As a bonus, they all fit the monthly challenge.
8. From your TBR to Mine: Labyrinth by Kate Mosse - This really looks interesting!

I couldn't go back to bed without doing my picks! Now I can go back to bed quietly...:)

Yipee!! Your last recs were great D.G so loo..."
How did that happen??? Seriously - that's hilarious. You have no idea how completely different the random picks were made. This month for instance you chose a cover type (to put you vaguely into favourite category types) and then the list within those groups were sorted by the last three digits within your goodreads id, working backwards.

1. With Abandon - i've heard good things about this series, but never tried it and the cover intrigues me, so let's continue on. Bloodfever and Duck! - now i've read both of these, but if I was looking for books solely on the cover, then I would have likely picked both of them up to read.
2. Nerd in Shining Armor - i've heard good things about this series, but haven't read them yet
3. A Matter of Time - I really loved this series and jealous that you have yet to read it for the first time - it does have several cliff-hangers though
4. The Peach Keeper or Eternal Rider - I loved both of these books and hope you enjoy one or both of them
5. Addicted or The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - it was storming at my place last night and I was curled up in bed with addicted and loved it. Otherwise, I love reading mysteries and right now, especially, nordic noir (those mysteries set in the Scandinavian countries), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is what started me on this kick - the first 80 pages or so are a bit slow as he explains the swedish financial area, but it gets better
6. Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal - I've discovered a love for Christopher Moore over the last few months - his books are great as audiobooks to listen to on the way to work, I've nearly crashed the car a few times because I was laughing so hard.
7. Acquainted with the Night i'm planning on reading this this month, so let me know if you want to do it together
8. Beyond Eden - i've heard good things about this book and debating reading it

Looking through your bookshelves, I realize that you lean towards YA and I find the covers in YA are so beautiful and pretty that I just want the covers as posters. Since this month is based on the covers, I had a hard time in choosing the books. So here are your recs for this month:
From Your TBR Shelves
1. Intriguing Cover
1. Torment by Lauren Kate. I see you have read the first book - Fallen. Why not continue the series? And the covers.. *sigh*
2. After - a YA book about teenage pregnancy. The cover looks so intriguing and so does the premise. I'm definitely going to add this book to my TBR.

2. Books that makes me laugh
1. The Undomestic Goddess - I remember reading thi]s book and laughing out many times. Seeing that you gave Can you keep a secret 4 stars, I think you would enjoy this too.
2. When It Happens - Doesn't the cover just make you smile? I haven't read this book but I have enjoyed other books by Susane Colasanti.

3. I'm so envious of:
1. Broken - Just look at the cover. So gorgeous and makes me want to read it NOW.
2. The House on Tradd Street - A ghost, a writer and a suspense. My favorite combination. A book I haven't come across before. Where do you find them?

From My Read Shelves
4. The Last Book That I Really Enjoyed
I gotta cheat here a bit. I don't give 5 stars to books easily. 4 stars is the max I go usually. And I haven't given many 5 stars to books recently.
1. The Shadow and the Star - One of comfort reads. My first Kinsale and I just love, love, love this book. Hence the 5 star.
2. High Noon - One of my favorites of Nora. A romantic suspense book with a superb heroine. I am planning to re-read it soon.

5. Stormy Nights
I don't read much differently on stormy nights and where I'm live (Singapore), it rains often (we don't have the 4 seasons). So for this, I've recommended some intense (to me) books.
1. Cry Wolf - I love this series. It has an abused heroine and a variation of insta-love. But the different take on werewolf and the way insta-love was handled kept me from putting down this book. I devoured this book in one sitting!
2. The Winter Sea - I read it recently based on a recommendation. There are two love stories in this - one of which keeps you guessing in the end and the other not so much. The bulk of it I finished in one evening when it was raining. It seems fitting for this category, right?

6. Pick-Me-Up or Humorous Books
1. Lady Be Good - I just finished this book. I kept laughing most of the time. Susan Elizabeth Phillips just writes such humorous books. It did cure me of an almost-slump.
2. Caressed By Ice - This book has the perfect tortured hero, imo. The heroine is abused but she's strong. And the changelings world is so good. Since I see that you haven't read this series yet, I suggest you start with Slave to Sensation.

Buddy Reads
7. From My TBR
I'm planning to read Fool Moon by Jim Butcher and Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison which has been getting rave reviews and Falling Under (look at the cover!). The Jim Butcher book is second in a series but the others are the first. I know the Gwen Hayes book is in your TBR, so if you are interested, we can do a buddy read.
8. From Your TBR
From your TBR, I'm going to add Don't Breathe a Word and North of Beautiful to mine. The covers are gorgeous and the books are so interesting.

Well, looking at the books I've recommended, I can see that I'm shallow and YA covers pretty much are my favorite. I hope you enjoy the picks Anna. Happy Reading!

From your TBR Shelves
#Makes me intrigued
Under Fire by Jo Davis -I'm very atracted to the storyline, I've never read a book with a fireman. I'm curious :)
#Makes me happy
Baby, I'm Yours by Susan Andersen -I really like the cover and the plot seems very funny.
#Makes me envious
Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas - I really enjoy this writer's style, this one I haven't read it yet but it seems interesting

From my Read Shelves
#5 stars book
The last book I've read and rated it 5 stars was Venom by Jennifer Estep. However, this is the 3rd book , the series starts with Spider's Bite. It's a very cool book and I loved the kick-ass heroine,Gin.
#Stormy Night
Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh - This is one of the books that I've read and re-re-re-read and I will probably continue to do so.This series is an addiction which is why Nalini is one of my favourite authors.
#Pick-me-up
The Wedding by Julie Garwood-An amusing read, the heroine is just not entirely sane :)

Buddy Reads
#From my TBR
Just Like Heaven by Julia Quinn-This seems to be a promising start to a funny series and it's released on 31st May.
#From your TBR
Call Me Irresistible by Susan Elizabeth Phillips - I've seen a quote that convinced me to try it in the near future:
"This is America. We’re entitled to our opinions.”
“Wrong. This is Texas. And my opinion is the only one that counts." ( Meg and Ted)

Happy reading!

I hope you find something that you like out of this list!
From their shelves:
1. Something About You - I like the interactions that the people have, and the banter back and forth.
2. Truly, Madly- I just enjoy the lead in this story.
3. A Discovery of Witches - This book looks interesting.
From my Read Shelves:
1. Call Me Irresistible- I really enjoyed this book.
2. The Perfect Play- Great book to read on a stormy night!
3. The Royal Treatment - I always go back to this book, it is a light and funny read.
Buddy Reads:
1. The Darkest Night- I would like to read this.
2. Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs- This also looks good.

Here are my picks for you. Let me know if I've gone horribly wrong and I'll try again.
From Your TBR
Intriguing Book: I went with two choices - they're intriguing in different ways.
Rendezvous by Amanda Quick - I love all the old "one word" Amanda Quick titles that I've read. I haven't read this one but it promises to be just as good so that's always intriguing. OR...
Under the Boardwalk by Carly Phillips - This cover makes me wish summer would hurry up and get here so I could take this book to the beach.

Happy Cover
One for the Money by Janet Evanovich - Nothing particularly funny about the cover but the early Stephanie Plum books are so good that seeing them makes me chuckle in remembrance. Or an Evanovich cover that is actually a funny cover: Full Bloom

Making Me Envious:
The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley - A re-telling of the Arthur myth from the women's point of view. I think this is a love it or hate it book. Personally, I loved it and I can still remember how I felt when I read it the first time.

From My Read Shelf
Last 5-Star Book
The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde - A world where Richard III is put on weekly with Rocky Horror like audience participation, where a diabolical villain with an awesome name kidnaps characters from classic books and where our heroine has to team up with Mr. Rochester to save his lady love - sign me up for more please! I couldn't believe I waited so long to read this.

It was a dark and stormy night: I went with two again - one from your TBR and one not.
The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield - Good Gothic type mystery complete with old mansion, ghosts and dark family secrets.
Horns by Joe Hill - This one was not on your TBR but I saw that you liked Heart Shaped Box by the same author. I really liked Horns. It's not a ghost story like Heart Shaped Box but it has a similar pop culture sensibility while still being a bit scary.

Funny/Pick Me Up Book I had real decision making issues here so I went with three. All very different.
For a paranormal pick me up: You Slay Me by Katie MacAlister - Jim the demon Newfoundland dog actually made me LOL while reading
For a historical pick me up: Ravished by Amanda Quick - Harriet and Gideon are one of my favorite couples ever. This book isn't LOL funny but it makes me smile the whole way through.
And finally something from left field: Crocodile on the Sandbank by Elizabeth Peters - Amelia Peabody is one of my favorite characters of any genre. Armed with her parasol, wits and sense of English (and female) superiority she's off to conquer the world.

Buddy Reads
Next on my TBR
Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh - It's not even out until Tuesday but I'm already planning my reading around it so I can start right away. However, this one is pretty late in the series. The first is Slave to Sensation and I highly recommend it. For my money it's one of the best PNR series out there.
That's not much of buddy read so I'll also throw out (from both of our TBR shelves): Hot in Here by Sophie Renwick - This was suggested to me in another PIFM challenge and it sounds good but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet.
From Your TBR Relic by Preston/Child - I've never read anything by these authors but I see their books all the time. Looking at the reviews for this one makes me think I should give them a shot.

It was lots of fun going through your shelves ;)
I hope you find something you like, if not, I would be happy to pick again- we have lots in common so I hope I did good!
From Your TBR-
1. Intrigued-
Hunting Season- I like her and this looks good.
Faith & Fidelity- I've heard so much about this book and I'm curious.
Magic Slays- this looks like a great series and this one comes out on the 31st and is next in line for you.
2. Happy/Laugh Cover-
Mobry's Dick- need I say more?
The Real Mother Goose- ok, cheated a little bit- the inside of the book made me laugh- this is a great Selena and I can't believe you haven't read it yet!
3. Envious-
Zero at the Bone- you will love this story, suspenseful and also a sweet, slow love story.
Three to Ride- great story and steamy too!
My TBR-
1. Last 5* feel good read-
The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen
When Irish Eyes Are Sparkling by Tom Collins
2. Stormy Night-
If you are not alone on the stormy night I would recommend these-
Fever by Kimberly Dean
Tease Me, Please Me by Kate Davies
If you don't want something spicy on your stormy night then I would recommend Silent Blade by Ilona Andrews - you like this author and this is a great stand-alone short story (on my lendable shelf).
3. Laugh/Pick Me Up- These are all books that have either made me chuckle or just made me happy.
The Prize by Julie Garwood
Anyone But You by Jennifer Crusie(older woman, younger man and very funny)
Private Pleasures by Bertrice Small (love the whole series)
Presents for Sue Ellen by Shara Azod
Buddy Reads-
1. Next from my tbr- Beauty by Selena Kitt or Confessions of a Prairie Bitch: How I Survived Nellie Oleson and Learned to Love Being Hated by Alison Arngrim
2. From your tbr- What Child Is This? or Promises

Here are my picks for you:
From Your TBR Shelves
1 - Pick a book that makes you feel intrigued (by the storyline/cover whatever you choose)
I really enjoy historical fiction and I've been looking for books set during the Civil War, so I am intrigued by Two Girls of Gettysburg. I would also be very interested in reading Columbine.
2 - Pick a book with a cover that makes you laugh or feel happy
Since I really liked Chelsea Handler's other books, I'm sure My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands is just as funny.
3 - Pick a book that makes you envious that it's on their shelves.
I very rarely re-read a book, but I have read Angela's Ashes twice and want to read it again after recently reading Frank McCourt's third memoir. This book makes the reader laugh and cry on the same page. AMAZING! You will love it!
From My Read Shelves
4 - Pick the last book that made you feel so good you rated it 5 stars
Well, my 5-star books often aren't "feel good." My 5-star picks are typically emotionally intense. So....I gave 5 stars to Lover Mine in the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series, so I am recommending the first book, Dark Lover.
If PNR really isn't your thing, I HIGHLY recommend One Day. It is about Dex and Emma who have a one night stand, and each chapter follows them through that same day over the next 20 years. Very touching and well-written.
5 - List the book you would curl up with on a stormy night
The Secret History is a creepy novel set at an elite private college.
6 - List the book you pick up when you most need a pick-me-up or a laugh
I love Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum mysteries. Yes, they can be repetitive, but they always make me laugh. Start with One for the Money.
Buddy Reads
7 - Pick the next book you want to read from your TBR shelf
The Sugar Queen
8 - Pick the book from their TBR shelf that you are seriously considering adding to yours.
Let the Right One In
Happy reading!

Cool! I had to order the bargain paperback though (stupid $12.99 kindle books!) so it'll have to be a weekend read for me. :)

I couldn't go back to bed without doing my picks! Now I can go back to bed quietly...:)"
Oh Bless you!! Sleep well and thanks as usual they look great!! Will let you know what I pick! x x

Here are your picks-as usual I have trouble narrowing it down.
From Your TBR Shelves
1. Intrigued by the Cover or content: Kiss of Fire or Blue Bloods or Fallen or The Fallen: Raziel
2. Cover that makes me feel happy Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It makes me feel happy because I remember the excitement I felt before each book came out and how my son would laugh at me when I would go pick up my book at midnight :)
3.Book that makes me envious: I remember how I could NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. I carried it everywhere. Outlander
From my Read Shelves:
4. Last book I gave 5 stars was The Adoration of Jenna Fox. It is a great YA read but it didn't necessarily make me feel good (it was a PIFM recommendation by Sue in March). The last book I rated 5 stars that made me feel good was What Happens in London which is the second in the series. If you like to read in order try The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever l love Quinn's historicals.
5. Curl up with on a stormy night--I'm not a big re-reader. Too many new things to read but if I did it would be Anne of Green Gables or begin rereading the way through my favorite series with Kate Shugak A Cold Day for Murder. They keep getting better.
6. If I need a pick me up or laugh (and believed in rereading again)
I would reread One for the Money. Last month's PIFM recommendation for me How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf was pretty entertaining too and I've just picked up the next one The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf
Buddy Reads
7. The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie I hear good things about it and it's my library checked out pile
8. We have a couple of books the same The Iron King or Poison Study or The Raven Prince
Final recommendation that doesn't fit a category. In looking at your list, if you haven't read any Tamora Pierce you should. They are probably aimed at 10-12 The Song of the Lioness Quartet or Protector of the Small Quartet. They are medieval historicals with a young strong female protagonist.

From your TBR
1. Intrigued : Crazy Hot. I was immediately drawn to the cover and the description sounds good too. I' haven't read much romantic suspense, but this book makes me want to. There also were a couple of books on your shelf that had intriguing titles: Heads You Lose and The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes (I love a play on words)
2. Cover that made me laugh or happy: Let's say that this cover made me "happy", very happy. So the book I'm recommending here is Wicked Ties
3. Envious : I saw that you had Bitten still on your TBR pile. It's a great book and I think you'll really enjoy it. I tend to view it as a stand alone novel, because I didn't love the next books in the series. But the first one is wonderful.

From my Books
4. Feel good 5 stars. : The felt so good you gave it five stars has thrown me off a bit. Last month I gave 3 books a five star rating (Ender's Game, The Name of the Wind, American Gods), but can't say they made me feel particularly "good". You can't go wrong if you chose to read any of those. However, the last 5-star, "feel good book" that I read was Little Women
5. curl up with on a stormy night : When its gloomy or stormy out, I like books that intensify those feeling rather than dissipate them. On stormy nights, I like to read horror novels so I'm recommending Heart-Shaped Box and The Stand. But just in case that's not your cup of tea, and prefer something more romantic, I'll add Envy to my recommendations.
6. pick me up : When I'm having a bad day and I need some to cheer me up, I usually find myself reaching for something by Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice is my favorite, but you've already read that. So, I'll go with Northanger Abbey, because I love the sarcastic tone of the novel. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy can also get me out of any funk.

Budddy Reads
7. My next reads: The next three books I'm planning to read are Crave, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, and Stardust. Your welcome to join me in reading any or all of these.
8. Added from your TBR : I've been reading the Fever series, and I've enjoyed it so much that I've been thinking about reading her Highlander series. If you want to start with Beyond the Highland Mist, I'd be happy to join you.

My Read Shelves

5. Stormy Night: The Iron Duke- I love this book and it has a bit of everything I could want for a stormy night. It has a super fantastic world, some mystery and a good romance.
6. Laugh: The Mane Event- This was picked for me last month. (Thanks, Lili!) It cracked me up and there's not a lot of conflict in it. Perfect for when you need a laugh.
Buddy Reads
7. Want to Read: The Unsung Hero- This book keeps getting bumped to the back of my list. I need motivation to actually read it.
8. Your TBR to Mine: and Falling, Fly- This looked like it could be good. Apparently, people either really liked it or didn't. It seems as though it might be a little dark, which I think is lovely.

From Your TBR
1. Intrigued: Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma~I've heard really good things about this controversial novel.
2. Happy: Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins~The cover for this book is so cute. The reflection of the cover models body in the pool? Awesomesauce.
3. Envious: Collide by Megan Hart~Megan Hart is one of my absolute favorite Erotic Romance authors in the whole wide world! Unfortunately, I don't know when I'm going to be able to get my hands on this book. I'm very envious that you have it on your shelf.

From My TBR
4. Last 5★ Read: The last book I gave 5 ★'s was Magic Bleeds. Since you haven't read that book, I'm recommending the first book in the series, Magic Bites.
5. Stormy Night Lovin: A book I would definitely curl up with on a stormy night is Nalini Singh's Angels' Blood. I noticed that you've read & enjoyed her "Psy-Changeling" series but not this one. Why not give it a try?
6. Laughter: I'm not a big fan of Contemporary Romances but I've found that Victoria Dahl can always make me laugh. I'm recommending Talk Me Down from your TBR shelf.

Buddy Reads
7. My TBR: My Soul to Take
8. Your TBR: Before I Die

If you don't see anything here that you're interested in, I'm more than happy to add more picks!

You have a lot of good books in your TBR pile! I just had to be careful that some of the books I wanted to choose are ones that are not to be released until after June! Anyhow, here are my choices for you.
From Your TBR Shelves
A book that made me feel intrigued:
The Hunger Games - I've actually started this one, but it does get intense so I am reading a couple of others at the same time!
A book with a cover that made me laugh:
There wasn't any really silly or funny ones that I found, but this one - A Wallflower Christmas at least had me giggling a little bit.
A book that made me envious that it's on your shelves:
Hard Bitten - I've been reading this series from the library so I have to wait my turn to get it!
From My Read Shelves
The last book that made me feel so good I rated it 5 stars:
I didn't realize that I have not rated a book 5 stars for quite a while. I think that says more to my state of mind than the books I've been reading. But here is one I recently read that I really like - Curse the Dawn. Although, that's the latest in the series, so you might want to start with Touch the Dark which I rated 5 stars as well.
The book I would curl up with on a stormy night:
What The Lady Wants - I always like Crusie's books.
The book I pick up when I most need a pick-me-up or a laugh:
You Slay Me - This is a fun book!
Buddy Reads
The next book I want to read from my TBR shelf:
Kiss of Snow - This is one of the series that I like to read as soon as the book comes out. And this book is being released May 31st!
The book from your TBR shelf that I am seriously considering adding to mine:
Lover Unleashed - I like this series and have been thinking about buying this next one in the series as well.
I hope there is something here you would like to read. If not, let me know and I'll try again!

I can't decide if this was easier or harder since you don't have a TBR. Mostly, I hope you find something in this list that you want to give a try.
From Their TBR Shelves – No TBR, so I picked books from my Read list that fit the categories:
1 - Pick a book that makes you feel intrigued (by the storyline/cover whatever you choose) Alright, I see you haven't tried the Sweet series by Maya Banks. The first book is – Sweet Surrender. This series was originally recommended to me by Yz the Whiz (FWIW)
2 - Pick a book with a cover that makes you laugh or feel happy – The Missing Ink - As a one-arm sleeved lady, this cover appeals to me. I recently really enjoyed this book and the cover meets more of your contemporary romance read characteristics, though I'm not really sure I'd say it's romance.
3 - Pick a book that makes you envious that it's on their shelves. – Laid Bare - okay, so Lethal hated this book, but I have other friends who liked it well enough and it's one of the few on my TBR that while it doesn't really fit the two guys/one girl book cover theme, the story line supports that genre.
From Your Read Shelves
4 - Pick the last book that made you feel so good you rated it 5 stars - Sunshine - about the only thing (besides a few historicals that I know better than to recommend to you) that gets 5 stars from me is PNR and this is the last 5 star read I had that you haven't already read (though many others do not share my love of this story, so...jury's out on my taste, I guess).
5 - List the book you would curl up with on a stormy night - Nightwalker - this is Urban Fantasy, though if you are willing to read the whole series, it's a romance epic. Another 5 star read for me and perfect for a stormy night.
6 - List the book you pick up when you most need a pick-me-up or a laugh - Stranger - So you've read some Megan Hart and you might be on the fence, Lethal didn't really like this one either, but it is one of my favorite Hart's and has one part that makes me laugh out loud every time I read it, even when I know it's coming. Shrug.
Buddy Reads
7 - Pick the next book you want to read from your TBR shelf – A Quick Bite - hmm, I think this is technically on my on-deck bookshelf, but it covers Q on the A-Z book challenge and covers the June FAC challenge, too. I love a book that can cover more than one challenge at a time.
8 - Pick the book from their TBR shelf that you are seriously considering adding to yours. Northern Exposure - alright so this is the only book in my whole 219 TBR list that actually has two guys and a girl on the cover.
If nothing appeals, let me know and I'll contemplate further. Happy Reading.

Here are my picks for you. Let me know if I've gone horribly wrong and I'll try again.
From Your TBR
Intriguing Book: I went with two choices - they're intriguing in different ways.

KarenF,
What a great list! Thank you! I was planning on reading Hot In Here this Month anyway, so I will do that buddy read with you if you're interested. You picked so many that I have been wanting to read it is hard to pick! I think I will also read One For The Money, for the laugh or The Mists of Avalon. Everything else that is not on my TBR list is being added shortly! Thanks again and happy reading. =0)

Hi there! I'm looking forward to digging through your book shelves. I will have your list up this evening or tomorrow morning! Have a great weekend.

From you TBR Shelf:
1. Intrigued: I am incredibly intrigued that you haven't started Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series. The first book is Kiss of Midnight and you've had it on your to-read shelf for almost a year! It is a great series, you really should start it! I am also intrigued by Dirty by Megan Hart. I've been seeing it mentioned quite a bit lately, but I am more intrigued by the cover. It looks so pretty until you realize it is a public restroom...
2. Happy Cover: How can this cover,

3. Envious: I am so envious that you still have Pleasure Unbound and the whole rest of the series to read! I loved this book, but I think I loved the entire series more.
From My Read Shelf:
4. Last 5 Star Read: This isn't my last, but it is one I just loved and is first in a series, The Darkest Hour. It is a great, emotional book, one of my favorites of the year and probably longer!
5. Book for a Stormy Night: A new author for me, that has quickly moved to a favorite is Pamela Clare. I love her I-Team series that begins with Extreme Exposure, they are really intense romantic suspense with great romance and lots of suspense. If a lighter fare is more to your taste on a stormy night how about Flat-Out Sexy. You have read some others by Erin McCarthy, but not the Fast Track series. This is the first book and my favorite.
6. Make Me Laugh: I laughed out loud several times while listening to Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. This book and the second were quite funny, and you will want to read both as the first one leaves you hanging! I also enjoyed the humor in The Mane Event by Shelly Laurenston. And in case you are doing the FAC for June, I also enjoyed A Quick Bite by Lynsay Sands. It was cute and lighthearted, though not a favorite of mine, I did and do plan to continue the series. (And it gave me my Q book last year!)
Buddy Reads
7. From Mine: This one is really hard for me since most of the books up soon for me are continuations of series that would be new for you. I am on the lookout for books for the June Monthly Challenge, especially the Graduation Month and UFO categories - if you have any suggestions here, I would be happy to read them with you!!
8. From Yours: Hot in Here by Sophie Renwick - the cover is hot, the story sounds great and it fills the Yummy Yummy category for the June Challenge! I may have to read it even if you don't pick it!!
I hope you find something you like!

Here are my June picks for you!

Yay! I'm glad I picked good stuff for you. I have Hot in Here on order but it should be here Tuesday or Wednesday so that's no hold up. Let me know when you think you want to read it and we can coordinate. Dee said that she wanted to read it too. It's like the PIFM Group Read!

Thanks for the recs Mandy, I am thinking of reading one of the books off of your shelf. I'll let you know which one when I can swap for one :)

For some reason I've had a really difficult time making my picks this month. For one, between your TBR and wishlist I've not been able to find anything that would be considered 'new' to you. We have a lot of books in common and almost everything I'd choose for you is either on your tbr or you've already read it. Also, I don't really re-read books anymore because I have so many waiting in the wings, but I will go back and reread passages so I've made my picks based on those. So here we go... :)

Buddy Reads I'd love to read The Iron Duke from you TBR list, one slight snag... According to the online Elan catalouge for Essex libraries they haven't got any of this book, it's not on Kindle either so I've order a copy from Amazon!! It just looked so good I really want to read it:-) so If you still want to read I'll let you know when it arrives!! Also i'd love to read Labyrinth with you and are good to go when your ready as I have a copy sitting on my boolshelf:-) Thanks again for the great recs x x

Buddy Reads

Hope you like something here :)

MountainKat, I love all of your picks for me! You made it hard to choose. I am leaning towards The Mane Event because I need it for another challenge too. I would like to read Hot In Here with you, but I don't have it yet, so maybe later in the month?
For Graduation Day, if you want to read Anna and the French Kiss with me, that would be great. The other 2 books I have in mind for that one are the second in a series ( Fade and Demonglass).
For UFO I am going to read Freighter Flights, which is m/m, and I'm not sure if you like that. I also need that one for another challenge.
Thanks again for the great picks, and if you want to do a buddy read for anything just let me know :)

Caroline - Just let me know (a few days in advance) when you're ready to start The Iron Duke. :) I'm not planning to read any long books in June so I should be ready to start anything with a 2-3 days notice. :)
Re: Labyrinth, I just requested it from the library. It may take a week or two to get to me (my library's selection is amazing but things don't get to me too quickly.) I'll let you know when I get it!

Here are my picks for you. You didn't have a very large TBR so I hope I found something that you want to read!
From Their TBR Shelves
1. Wicked Becomes You by Meredith Duran: I picked this book because of the cover initially and then I read the premise. It sounds like a very interesting book and I want to know what you think, if you pick this one. I also added it to my ever-growing TBR list.
2. How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper: I chose this one because the cover is so cute! It makes me want to laugh and smile.
3. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare: The reason I picked this book is because I think the series is great and I'm jealous because you haven't started it yet. I miss that edge of my seat feeling that I had when I first read it. It's an awesome series and I hope you enjoy starting it!
From Your Read Shelves
4. Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead: I was recommended this book last month by Sandy, and I can not believe it took me so long to finally read it. It is a great book and I loved Georgina's wit. It was the first book in awhile that I had given 5 stars to.
5. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon: I noticed that most seem to be picking horror novels but this one isn't a horror. It is a long read but the reason I picked it is because there is no other way to enjoy it than to be in a comfy, warm place. Also, where you know you'll be sitting awhile! It's a wonderful book, and my favorite in that series. I hope you enjoy it. If you are looking for something scary I recommend Salem's Lot by Stephen King. I read it about two years ago and it scared me!
6. A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore: This book is hilarious! It is a fun read and rather quick. I've read other books by Christopher Moore and they are all funny. This was the first book I read by him and I loved it. I hope you'll enjoy it too.
Buddy Reads
7. Kiss of Fire by Deborah Cooke: I've had this on my TBR for a while, and I've heard a lot of great things about it. Maybe if I have someone to read it with me I'll have more motivation to pick it up. So just let me know if you'd want to try this out together.
8. Wicked Becomes You by Meredith Duran: I know I picked this above but I did add it to my TBR so if you want to read this together let me know and I'll try to find a copy.
I hope you enjoy the recs and if you can't find anything you'd like to read I will gladly pick again.

For UFO I am going to read Freighter Flights, which is m/m, and I'm not sure if you like that. I also need that one for another challenge. "
Freighter Flights sounds interesting, I think I will try to read that one, if you want to read it together we can do that. I think I will wait to see what else comes up for Graduation Day though - I am still waiting for my picks. =) And I am definitely interested in Hot in Here, just give me a few days notice and I would love to read that one with you!

Books that intrigue me
I’ve been intrigued by the Kate Daniels books for a while but haven’t gotten around to them. The covers look like a grown up version of the Narnia Chronicles. Continue the series with Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews.
I’m also intrigued by the fact that you’ve skipped Raising Kane by Lorelei James. Why? Kane’s grown up into one mighty fine hunk of a man! Get to it and
doread him girl!Covers that make me feel happy
Sweet Possession by Maya Banks – Seriously how can this cover not make you feel happy??? Aside from the fact that it’s a beautiful cover - She is just gorgeous and he’s well… Conner (FINALLY!!!)
Books that make me feel envy
Most of my envy has come from the fact that you’re so far into soooo many series I’m desperately trying to catch up on. The next book on one of these series is out on 7 June so why don’t you hunt up the next Cassandra Palmer book, Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance and make me even more envious.
From My Read Shelves
5 stars rating
My rating system is based on re-readability, but last one I gave five stars to I think you’ll really enjoy. In fact I’m surprised you haven’t discovered Marie Harte already. Her Circe’s recruits series is fantastic and The Lost Locket is a spin off from them but I don’t think that will matter. It’s a great ménage romance that actually concentrates on building the relationship between the men as well as their relationship with their woman.
On a dark and stormy night
What book wouldn’t I curl up with at any time should really be the question. I’m going to say one of the In Death books because I’m currently re-reading them on audio, which is useful considering that the power goes out frequently during storms back home. They start with Naked in Death and are by J.D. Robb. Come to the dark side and be seduced by Roarke and the love he has for his cop…
Pick-me-up’s
Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie – It’s not that it’s out and out hilarious as such, it’s more the strong friendship themes, imperfect hero / heroine and total lack of angst. It’s kind of like watching puppies play – you really can’t help but smile no matter what your mood.
Buddy Reads
(My TBR) I’ve been wanting to read Lora Leigh’s Elite Ops series. (I think there’s some names in there for the RRRC reading tournament). If you give me a little while to read the first two we could do a buddy read of Heat Seeker mid month.
(Your TBR) Or, Sinful by Charlotte Featherstone looks good and has gotten great reviews from those I know and trust.
I hope you find something that you want to delve into this month – ENJOY!
