What are you reading?
Wuthering Heights -- not enjoying The Great Gatsby -- haven't really started good on this one.
Holy Bible: The Daily Bible® - Reading on a daily basis (more or less)
The Thief of Time Trying for a 2nd time to read this one. I forgot that I had started it. LOL
Miracle on the 17th Green Thankful to be close to the end of this one... not a golfing fan -- should not have even picked it up much less read it.

I was looking for someone who read Caleb's Crossing because I was so disappointed in this last book of hers - -I really admire her as an author. I loved Year of Wonders.

Your welcome!
Started Jurassic Park yesterday and am loving it! So far the plot follows the movie pretty closely, but the book offers a lot more of the science behind paleontology, cloning, etc. There's a fairly simple explanation of chaos theory that's great.Oh gosh, I just read what I wrote and realized what a nerd I am!

LOL
I'm new to this group, but want to share a new title for your consideration as your NBB. I read The Art of Hearing Hearbeats about six months ago. It was just released in the US by Other Publishing. This is an amazing story about life, relationships, acceptance and a love that survives beyond all obstacles. It is truly a humbling and moving story.
Now, the disclaimers...
1. I work for Oceanview Publishing as the marketing and publicity manager. I have no association with Other Publishing.
2. I have met the author, Jan-Philipp Sendker. He is a warm, humble and friendly man who is incredibly gifted in the art of writing.
3. I am extremely jealous of my counterparts at Other. They get to market this wonderful book!
Thanks David for the recommendation. I've added it to my TBR list. I think I have also recently heard something about it from my locally owned bookstore.
During my recent vacation to Mazatlan, along with scouring the galley proofs for Wicked Eddies for errors, I managed to read 2 mystery books while lounging by the pool or ocean. I enjoyed Carolyn Hart's Engaged to Die, and I very much enjoyed Nancy Pickard's The Whole Truth. In fact, I put the other two titles in that series on my to-read list, and my husband is reading THE WHOLE TRUTH now.
I started on The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf last night. I'm a few chapters into it so far and its a bit of a page turner.
Ellie wrote: "I started on The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf last night. I'm a few chapters into it so far and its a bit of a page turner."It is a page turner, Ellie. I read it in about four hours- I couldn't put it down!
I started The Litigators today.
SEEING THE LIBERTY. A page turner, can't put it down, adventure of a dysfunctional family and their rediculous thrilling roller coaster ride of life.
Currently reading Drood
and am about 150 pages in to the 900+ pages. So I thinking of picking up The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie
to break things up a bit.
Gabriella wrote: "I'm reading Anne of green Gables by L.M Montgomery. It's my first book by her."That's one of my favourite books. It's one of the ones I try to read yearly. I hope you enjoy it.
I'm currently reading
The House At Riverton. I'm only a few chapters in, but i'm liking it so far.

Started
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John le Carré and
Sherlock: A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle
I'm reading and enjoying Commune Of Women which is told though the POV of each of the women caught up in a terrorist attack on LAX. Also reading The Pawn which is about a serial killer and the people hunting him.

Ouch! Karen, thanks for calling this out, but please... in the future let's be courteous and just point out that the author is not following group rules.

OK! You guys make me to add it to my to-read list!
Hey, just started Extremely loud and Incredibly Close by Foer. I think his voice fits the 12 year old gifted Oscar much more than his immigrant character from his first book.

I like this book very much, but even better I like A Thousand Splendid Suns
I was so bored with The Litigators that I couldn't finish it. Grisham's books are usually fast, reliable reads for me- I think this one was just slapped together to fulfill a contract or meet a deadline. Now I'm reading Fragile.
I'm continued to listen to audio book = Wild Child and Other Stories by T.C. Boyle and that is amazing and very cool that reading this short stories author himself!!!! It's so cool practice to read you own book because he feeling how to read it. And I enjoy his stories much more and like better then short stories Dubliners by James Joyce and A Good Man Is Hard to Find and Other Stories by Flannery O'Connor which I read also very recently

It took me the third try before I finished the book. anyway from my perspective once you get past page 100 you will find it a book you don't want to put down. Part two the girl who played with fire catches you from page one. Good luck.
