I shall buy them once I have gotten through some of my to read pile ;) haha. Im glad they are good though. I was scared when I saw the size of them but as long as they are worth reading I am happy.
I finished Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell which I really enjoyed. Now I'm reading The Girls by Lori Lansens.
Hi, My name is Mandy and i have just recently joined this club, I love to read and will read just about anything barr sci and vampires. I have just finished the collection by Martha Long.It is her own story about being brought up in Ireland, when nuns and priests had full control, the first book in this collection is "Ma, he sold me for a few cigerettes, i loved these books and look forward to the final of her collection Lori wrote: "I am curious to know what everyone is

I just finished High Fidelity by Nick Hornby this morning and jumped right into The Town That Forgot To Breathe.
Strange book to pick ..."
still reading A Game of Thrones and just starting Popcorn aswell as reading Ripper's Rowon my Kindle.
Close to finishing Commune of Women which to my surprise is not a thriller although a terrorist attack triggers the story and at long last I have started the final Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
I just finished
, this was simply terrifying and amazing. For those who loves thrillers, check out this one!
So, I finished the audiobook of THE TERRIBLE PRIVACY OF MAXWELL SIM and it was really good. If you want to see my review: http://thenextbestbookblog.blogspot.c...)
Now, I am starting Ryan Bradley's upcoming release Code for Failure. Been looking forward to getting on with this one for a while now :)

Lori, Just read your review and I'm excited to read this. Will get it from the public library on my next visit.Love this site for so many new book ideas.
I just finished What Was She Thinking?: Notes on a Scandal, it was TERRIBLE, did't get through it!I am about to begin
Thanks Lori. I hope you like. Would be interested to hear what you think about the ending, once you get there!
I will let you know Lori but right now have too many books on hold at the library. So funny writing to you because I feel as if I'm writing to myself. LOL
Cinder by Marrisa Meyer. Pretty good so far!Beginning to think some of the most imaginative writing today is in young fantasy.Cinder
I finished Red Mist by Patricia Cornwell and liked it better than some of her last few. Now am reading 77 SHADOW STREET by Dean Koontz. Very creepy.
Ann from S.C. wrote: "I finished Red Mist by Patricia Cornwell and liked it better than some of her last few. Now am reading 77 SHADOW STREET by Dean Koontz. Very creepy."I finished Red mist a bit earlier int he week and felt soooo good having read it!
I was reading Fragile, but couldn't finish. The MC was whiney and self-absorbed. So, I'm moving on to Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.
I had to put this someplace. I am in tears after reading a review posted today. I can't say anymore. I wonder if I'm ready for this. http://amzn.to/yZaP8V
I'm a couple of hundred pages into Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, finally forced myself to read the final book. Hate seeing the series end. I'm also reading a strange little book called The Gorge, murders, cults, rattlesnakes, evil spirits, can't wait see what the heck the author comes up with next! LOL
Suzanne C wrote: "I was reading Fragile, but couldn't finish. The MC was whiny and self-absorbed. So, I'm moving on to Snow Flower and the Secret Fan."This is a GREAT book and you might want to watch the DVD when finished. Let me know what you think when finished.
Eventually if this Asian themed book was enjoyable for you I'd read Mao's Last Dancer. This is based on a true story and didn't realize it was a book until I saw the DVD. Funny thing is I found out about this movie as a coming attraction on another DVD so you never know where book suggestions might pop up from.
This debut novel is splendid storytelling. I'm loving it. There's a giveaway offer up at new york journal of books. Worth a shot, great writing:

I just finished “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan week or so ago, and I liked this book very much....
Now I'm reading
Mice by Gordon Reeceit's very scary and impressive sad, it's about girls school bulling and when you have a child in school it's really touch you felling and scared the hell of you to don't happened something like that to anybody and especially you child
Finished The Wise Man's Fear-- IMHO, I found it better than The Name of the Wind, for some strange reason. Maybe I wasn't as impressed by the first, or something. Either way, I still love both of them.I'm starting Atonement, an entirely different genre.
Ann from S.C. wrote: "I finished Red Mist by Patricia Cornwell and liked it better than some of her last few. Now am reading 77 SHADOW STREET by Dean Koontz. Very creepy."Let us know what you think, Ann. I'm reading 77 Shadow Street as well. I think this may be my first Dean Koontz book that I've read, so I have nothing to compare it with (from his previous novels). Can anyone recommend any other good books by Koontz?
The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon and Death on the Installment Plan by Celine (sort of marooned in the latter and the former is for school). I began Funny Man by John Warner, too. Do I pass?
I'm reading One Day by David Nicholls. I'm about half way through and it's really holding my interest so far.
I am currently reading
and I plan on reading
next. I just finished
and I wasn't as impressed with it as I thought I would be. I think because it has been praised all over the world I was expecting something more.
Finished A Dirty Job yesterday and then started Bad Moon Rising. This is the final installment of the Pine Deep Trilogy.
I'm reading Jane Addams' Twenty Years at Hull-House, her memoir of the first two decades of her pioneering settlement house/social service institution in Chicago. The prose is a bit dense at times (not uncommon for 1910) but the story is quite interesting. This will probably take me through this month, and right up to my annual Irish March, where I will probably read nothing but William Trevor - one of my favorite writers.
Finished The Girl Who would speak for the Dead, which I found very interesting. It basically fictionalizes the growth of Spiritualism in the US. I was surprized to see its' only rated 3 and a tiny fraction more of Stars. I also finished Incredibly Loud and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (bet I switched my adjectives) which I also thought was fantastic. I thought Foer's voice fit the character of Oskar well.
