PARANORMAL CREATURES CHALLENGE - MARTINA'S PROGRESS: 5/10

Finished reading Play of Passion (Psy-Changelings, #9) by Nalini Singh (★★★★). This is one of those PNR series that reads like urban fantasy in that there's a HEA for the featured couple in each book, but there's also a more complex plot that takes place over the full series.

It takes place around the year 2080 in a world consisting of humans, shape-shifters, and "psy" (humans with various psychic powers).

Bonds of Justice is the story of Drew Kincaid and Indigo Riviere, both wolf changelings in the SnowDancer pack and both characters you meet in the previous books. The romance between Drew and Indigo is rather formulaic, I though, if somewhat sweeter than others with Drew's Valentine's Day-like gestures at certain points.

In general it was a really good book - not my favorite of the series, but I'm definitely going to be reading more, especially since the next book, Kiss of Snow, due out June 2011, is FINALLY about Hawke & Sienna, a couple we've been teased with for the last few books! I'm VERY excited about that one and the sample up on the author's website just makes me want more, more, more!

An 11th book is also confirmed, but the title has not yet been released.
