I write steamy paranormal romances and wickedly fun romantic adventures, stories that crackle with action and love. Challenging, smart alpha men—and women not afraid of a challenge. Oh, do the sparks fly when he meets THE woman guaranteed to infuriate and inflame him most.

In real life I'm a USA Today bestselling author, a spouse and mother, a flutist, a computer geek, and a binge-TV-watcher of The Flash, Elementary, NCIS, and Wynonna Earp.

I'd love to hear from you!

I just double checked and Bad Boy Billionaire's Lady (Lovless Brothers) has no graphic sex. Also, while my upcoming Playing With Fire: The Battle of the Bands (A Starstruck Novella) has a physical culmination of love, it's only a couple paragraphs of metaphor. Hope that helps! ~Mary(less)

Hi Goodreads! My favorite fictional couple...does anyone have just one? lol.

Of the couples I've written, one of my favorites has to be Julian and Nixie, because they're so utterly different (tall austere powerful lawyer vampire, tiny punk rock mouthy human musician), yet they find a special shared wavelength.

Of those I've read, top of the list is Amelia Peabody and Radcliffe Emerson. Next is Harry Dresden and Karrin Murphy, though I'm not sure they'll get their HEA. And what is happening with Bob Howard and Mo O'Brien in the Laundry Files? *bites nails* Favorite partners include Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin and Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Television's Phryne Fisher and Jack Robinson are amazing.

I have tons more favorites, but these are the first to come to mind.(less)

Oh, those whys!

One of the things I didn't understand the first time I  got notes from an editor was so many whys. Why did the character do this and why was the world the way it it was? Why didn't the hero do this or that--and why did he then do the other thing?

The reason I didn't understand was because I hadn't yet learned to put myself in the place of the reader. I knew the answers in my head, o
