Good catch, Fran.
New title posted.
Key of Knowledge by Nora Roberts - This one has been getting pushed back on the TBR list for months. So, I will read it for this one.

And that's the one I really wanted to read! Oh well, I will think about one of the others and let you know.
hmm, I might go with Bound to Him - since its sitting on my M/M to read shelf (although i'll have to get it) - I also have Witch Fire somewhere I think
I was thinking about The Secret History of the Pink Carnation until I glanced at the reviews. A lot of negativity, LOL. Has anyone here read it already? Second question, how tied together are the Karen Rose books? Can I read #9 without reading any of the others?
I have Hara's Legacy so I will try and fit that in for this round. It's the 1st in the Bianca D'Arc series that's listed.
I'm going with Pink Carnation, too...@Daffodil - I didn't finish it the first time I tried. But my sister just absored the whole series, and is now impatiently waiting for the next one. So, I figured I might be more in the mood now...
Daffodil wrote: "I was thinking about The Secret History of the Pink Carnation until I glanced at the reviews. A lot of negativity, LOL. Has anyone here read it already? I'm actually wondering if we could change #9 for say #1? *impish grin*
I'm having a tough time picking. I've been thinking about starting Karen Rose, but the pick is too far into the series. I considered the Pink Carnation, but the reviews discouraged me. I'm leaning towards the Merline Lovelace, even though it's #4 in the series, because they are fast reads and it's going to be a busy month and I can get all the series at my local library. They don't have the Ann Evans or the Anya Bast. So, I'm in, but still deciding. Maybe I'll just go with Nora...who knows.
I'm going to do either Witch Fire or Shadow Marked. I know I have Witch Fire already so will probably do that one. But the other sounds really interesting. Maybe my library has it in ebook.

Second question, how tied together are th..."Kill for Me is actually third in a subseries of the main Karen Rose series (make sense? LOL) about the Vartanian family. I think you might be lost if you read it as a standalone as the two main characters have some background story in the book prior to this one.
I don't know, I am going to have to wait till December to see if I have time. I am behind on my monthly right now.But..... if I do, I have had Witch Fire on the radar for a while so I would probably go with that one.
I must be getting old- I tried to read Hara's Legacy on my Blackberry but it is just too damn small. So, I picked up Hot Number and read it today. I really enjoyed it. I think this may be the first Carly Phillips for me. I really liked Micki, the heroine, who went from a tomboy with insecurities about men to a girlier, more confident person. Although playboy athletes who start out as slightly womanizing and carefree are not my favorite heroes, I ended up liking Damien and was happy for their HEA.
I think I have Hot Number and I'll see if I can get it in by 12/20. I didn't have any books in my TBR from lists 2 and 3. I had read a few already but don't any of the others.
I have Key of Knowledge on hold with Overdrive.com so I might get that one in instead if it comes up for me.
I finished Witch Fire and rated it two stars. My first book by this author and maybe my last. Not enough storyline to hold my interest.
Finished
- 12/06 - 3*I liked this book, but reading it felt a bit forced, i had to make myself keep reading. Of course, it was interesting enough that even when i put it down i was wondering what would happen next and would pick it up again.
I blame it on the story within the story construction of the book, while it adds originality, it also disrupts the flow of the book. The contemporary romance was more interesting, but barely sketched, while the regency heroine was extremely annoying and silly, so i couldn't really get involved with any of the characters.
Sheila wrote: "I finished The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John BoyneWhat a powerful book! I give it ★★★★★'s"
I heard good things about this book. I should see about getting a copy.
I've finished Key of Light. I liked it, but would only give it 3-1/2 stars. It's a classic Nora series, but this couple just felt "on the way" to the others. I don't know if I'll get to the actual challenge book, Key of Knowledge, but I'll definitely be reading it in the near future. Thanks for the challenge!
I don't think I'll get all the way to Grady's Awakening, but I read Hara's Legacy on 12/17, which is the first book in the series. (I will be reading the rest eventually, just probably not by the end of this challenge period.) I give it 3.5 stars - I like the science fiction/dystopic world that is set-up in this series, as well as the psychic powers various people have. I also liked that they assume that the psychic abilites came from the aliens, but the aliens don't have psychic powers. (WARNING: contains lots of sex and menage elements)
I read both Key of Light and Key of Knowledge by Nora Roberts (love when the books on the list are sitting on my shelf waiting to be read!). 4 stars for both - love the way there is an overall quest as well as one in each book of the trilogy. I also liked each couple enough to be unable to pick between the two stories - I am in awe of how she writes so much and yet each has unique characteristics!
I finished Witch Fire yesterday (12/19). I liked it. It wasn't the meatiest PNR I've ever read but I thought it was a quick, entertaining read. 3 stars.

Hi Miss - that's how I felt about this book, too.
I finished The Secret History of the Pink Carnation on the 16th. It was only the challenge that kept me going this time around.

But you can read other books in the same series, and that will still count for the challenge, but not a vote for the book. Hope that makes sense. : )
